The sweet reset button

Here we are,
Back to being friends,
Leaving a tiny scar,
Tied at the ends.

It's like someone stitched it,
So that it wont ever split,
Leaving a mark on my pale skin,
And a big hole within.

The fire will never be sated,
Our love was what it created,
It will continue to light up the dark,
With a brightly shining spark.

I cant help but hope,
That maybe the future will be in our favour,
I hope it's not that hard to cope,
Because it's not a goodbye, it doesn't leave a bitter flavour.

Bitterness is the taste of regret,
But sweetness is the taste of reset.

You'll always be with me, wherever I go,
Whatever may change, this is what I truly know.
