Amy's POV

*Day before thanksgiving*

"So are we driving to your parents house tonight?" Luke asked on the phone

I rolled my eyes, even though he can't see me "Yes Luke, I'm picking you up at 4."

he chuckled "Sorry, I'm just getting nervous"

"You're acting like a schoolgirl going on her first date."

"That's how I feel!!" he said

"It will be fine!" I said

"Okay... I gotta pack up some clothes.. I'll see you later." he said

"Bye Luke!" I said

"Bye babe." he said and hung up

I flopped on my bed, how did I get so lucky to be dating Luke? I hated him but now I love him? this is all too crazy...

Luke and I were now on our way to my parents house! we are currently jamming out to music and talking about random stuff.

when we got to my parents I took Luke's hand in mine and gave him a reassuring smile.

I rung the door bell and my mom opened the door with a huge smile

"Amy!" she hugged me tightly, "And you must be the fiancé?" she glanced at Luke.

"Yes ma'am!" he sent her his dimpled smile "I'm Luke."

"Nice to meet you Luke!" she engulfed him in a hug.

"The pleasure is all mine!"

"Is that Amy?" I could hear my dad in the living room

"Yeah!" my mom said "If you'll excuse me, I'm going back to the kitchen now."

we walked into the living room to see my dad watching the news

"Hey dad!" I said, he stood up and we hugged

"Hello Amy." he said

"And is this the man who thinks he's worthy enough for my daughter? the man who didn't even come to me first?" my dad said with a scowl

Luke began to tense up "Yes sir, I'm sorry sir..."

my dad broke out into a grin, "I'm just teasing you son! I'm Jim, it's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you Mr. Jim, I'm Luke, Luke hemmings." Luke shook his hand

"I'm gonna see if mom needs any help." I said, Luke grabbed my hand and gave me a pleading look. I mouthed "You're fine" and left him with my dad.

"When's Viviane getting here?" I asked my mom who was on her phone

"Uh, tomorrow afternoon.."She said "Grandma is coming in the morning because she's cooking the turkey here..."

"Oooh yay. my mouth is already watering just think about dinner tomorrow." I said

my mom laughed "You're so silly Am's. I have the guest room all cleaned up. by that I mean your room."

"Ugh. not my room. that's embarrassing." I said

"We re decorated and painted it." she said "For dinner tonight we're going to T.G.I Friday's."
