One Piece- Unexpected mess? Kids? //discontinued//

Chapter 2~Explanation?

"So what was the last you were doing?" Nami asked trying to get some answers on what was happening.
"I was outside being tied to a tree by Dadan" Ace said with a sigh at the end. He was fidgeting with his hands and was going unnoticed my the whole crew
"Why were you being tied to a tree? and who's Dadan?" Usopp said
"I still don't trust you so I'm not telling y-" Ace started but was cut off by Luffy
"Dadan a mountain bandit that is adopting us and Ace wanted to kill the tenryuubito" Luffy said simply with no concern in his voice at all
"LUFFY Why are you telling them you don't even know them" Ace shouted reaching his hand out to slap him when the sudden change in Luffys voice made him stop
"I don't know but I feel like I should trust them... And they are my future crew.." Luffy smiled innocently in a voice that Ace had never heard before.
"Did u really believe the stuff they are saying?" Ace scolded

"It's true Ace" Zoro said bluntly
"Back to the point Ace.. Why did u want to kill the tenryuubito?" Nami asked

Luffy and Ace went blank it was obvious they didn't want to talk about it. They were both fidgeting . Luffys Strawhat was so big on him you couldn't see his eyes.
Then it was weird but the brothers started crying. Luffy was on the floor in tears and Ace had turned their back from the crew and was sniffling so you could tell that he was crying.

"SABO YOU BASTARD WHYD YOU HAVE TO DIE??" Ace shouted which startled the crew.

"Ace do u have the letter Sabo gave us still?" Luffy said with tears down his face.

Ace reached down and checked his pocket and nodded. Luffy gave a look of relief

"Are you okay?" Usopp asked

The crew decided not to ask them about this type of subject.. not until they are ready to tell them.

Luffy and Ace wiped their tears and pinched their cheeks to make a smile... They looked at each other and said

"That's what Sabo would want"

A loud growl could be heard from the 2 boys.

"Okay I guess it's breakfast time then... Luffy what do u want to eat?" Sanji asked the little boy

"EVERYTHING!!" Luffy said with a large grin

The crew facepalmed.. Even as a child their captain didn't change...

~Timeskip~
"BREAKFASTS READY!!" Sanji yelled so the whole crew could hear

"Yayyyy!!" Luffy jumped at ran to the kitchen

"Matte Luffy don't just run off like that!!" Ace shouted. Luffy just stuck his toungue out.

After breakfast  the crew had a meeting without their captain, discussing what they thought happened.

"So does anyone have any idea on why Luffy and Ace have turned into kids and more importantly didn't Ace.." Sanji said

Sanji didn't even need to finish the sentence.

The crew just shrugged.

"I will do some further research on this situation" Robin replied

"Well Robin it's up to you" Zoro said putting his hand on her shoulder.

"AHHHHH!" Luffy screamed

"We leave them for 5 minutes and they have already gotten themselves into trouble" Zoro said annoyingly

The crew ran out to see what was going on. They saw an unconscious Luffy and Ace trying to swim back to the ship but the sea was dragging them further down..

"HE-HELP!" Ace yelled in panic

Zoro and Sanji jumped into the ocean to grab the kids. When they got back at the ship Luffy and Ace looked really pale.

"Omg don't scare us like that" Nami said whilst handing a towel to the boys.

"At least they are in one piece" Zoro replied (See what I did there😏)

Chopper walked towards  the kids and put his hand on their forehead. They looked pale and their cheeks were flushed. Luffy was swaying back and forth and Ace was also looking like he was losing his balance.

"I think they have a have a fever "Chopper added

Zoro help Chopper get the kids into the infirmary so they could be checked.

"It's just a simple fever they should be up and about in 2 days but knowing Luffy probably less"Chopper assured

In the Infirmary

Ace was dreaming about the times where ASL were happy and enjoyed life. But that happy dream turned into a nightmare. Zoro was on watch of the kids so he saw Ace saying 'Sabo' with a pained expression in his sleep. Ace woke up panting and sweating.

Zoro didn't know much about Luffy and Ace's childhood. Well to be honest he doesn't know really know anything on Luffy's past. You'd think as the first mate your captain would have at least told you something about his childhood but that's not the case with Luffy and Zoro...
Back on the topic with Ace... the last time we saw Ace was in Alabasta and of course, we didn't know that was the last time we were going to see him... but seeing as now, he's alive, and a child...

"What's wrong?" Zoro asked Ace

"No-Nothing I-I'm fine" Ace replied, stuttering and Zoro raised an eyebrow

"You don't  look very fine to me" Zoro added

"Ne? Did I deserve to live?" Ace said with a frown but immediately realised what he said and covered his mouth. Zoro was shocked that a child his age would ask such a deep question.

"Of course you do... what would Luffy do without you?" Zoro said with a smile trying to reassure the child. Ace gave a small smile which we hoped nobody noticed but Zoro caught a glimpse and gave out a grin.

"Why don't we go outside for a bit? Get something to eat?" Zoro asked looking at Luffy who was still sound asleep

Ace looked at Luffy with a nervous look.

"It's okay he's safe in here" Zoro said

Ace followed Zoro into the kitchen.

"Oii ero-cook make something" Zoro growled

"What did u say Mosshead?" Sanji argued but looked at Ace the back at Zoro and just nodded.

Sanji made a little snack for Ace.

"Here you go." Sanji said handing the plate to Ace

"Arigato." Ace said quietly. It was the first compliment that Ace has actually said.

"Well do u want to talk about it?.." Zoro mentioned. He noticed Ace pale with sweat.

"Ma-Maybe later..." Ace replied nervously and ran back into the infirmary when he saw Luffy in tears and the rest of the crew in the room trying to comfort the small boy.
