Salute to the Martyrs

In the drastic range of Himalayas
When your feet don't shiver
When grit becomes your mate
Fierceness,your endeavour.

I see you amid the war zone
When the valley drapes in red
You combat with all might
And bravely march ahead.

You must have missed your kin
Who daily seeks your return
And your kid whom you haven't seen
Loves to play your gun.

You camouflaged and fired in Uri
With gust when the terror whistled
You showed militants, the way to hell
Till that unholy grenade hurled.

It was blood all over your carcass
Breath was just of few gasps
You managed a smile and bade goodbye
Then succumbed to eternal naps.

A mother gets the unending grief
The pain to miss him ahead
But Salute to you, O Martyr!
Your son says,' I'll be like dad'.

🇮🇳Dedicated to the soldiers martyred in Uri Attacks.🇮🇳
