Battle on the Bridge

"Ahhhyyyyyyieeee!"

A scream was heard throughout the house Team 7 were staying in. It originated from the room Sakura slept in.

The two murderous boys smiled in victory, although they had to be concerned for their former teammate. So they ran to her room.

"What's happ...en...ing..." Naruto said completely shocked while looking at Sakura's corpse.

"Impossible!" Sasuke yelled in fear. "How are you still alive!"

Sakura was sitting up on the bed with two kunai deeply embedded within her chest.

"Silly Sasuke-kun. The deity of true love has prevented my death so we can be together. Can't you see? This is a sign." She spoke happily.

Kakashi came quickly and noticed Tsunami on the floor unconscious. When he looked into the room his mind went blank. Reality pretty much just shattered for everyone who wasn't Sakura.

"What the fuck! HOW do you not question this shit." Naruto raged.

"You should be dead! How?! How are you not dead?!" Tears were streaming down Sasuke's face, for his sperm was no longer safe.

Sakura's green eyes turned pink and the word she uttered was, "Love."

--Dark Dimension of the Comment Section--

The former death god sighed. "I have decided to resign from my position as Death God. Since I have now stepped down, there is an open position."

The candidates chatted among themselves on who would become the next death god.

"You all now have the chance to become the newest Death God; but you must be tested. Sakura Haruno must die. If you can kill her then you will automatically become the newest Death God. No questions asked. Now get to work."

"YES SIR!"

--Back with Team 7--

After learning that Sakura is now an immortal, Kakashi decided it was time to go protect Tazuna as he finished the bridge. He just ran out of fucks to give.

Kakashi looked around making sure there were no enemies lurking around."Someone will have to stay behind to protect Tsunami and Inari for Gato's thugs."

"Don't worry about that. I got it in the bag." Naruto stated confidently. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" With puffs of smoke, two clones appeared. "They'll make sure the family is safe."

Tazuna was grateful that the kid had his family safe. "Thanks kid."

Kakashi was surprised. "I'm surprised by you quick thinking, Naruto. Good job. Now onward to the bridge."

On the way over they saw the bridge workers either dead or unconscious. Surprisingly, Sakura wasn't bothered. It seemed as it her fear towards blood and death disappeared.

Zabuza had spotted the team and brandished his sword getting ready for a fight. The hunter ninja, Haku stood next to him.

Kakashi tensed, as this was going to be a long fight. He uncovering his Sharingan to show how serious he was going to take this. But then something he did not expect at all just occurred.

"Haku. Kill Zabuza."

"Yes master." Haku froze Zabuza completely and then knocked him over. Needless to say, Zabuza shattered to pieces. Kakashi was befuddled. It made no sense. Why did Zabuza's accomplice listen to Naruto? How did-

"Wow. I'm surprised you would turn on him like that." Kakashi's train of thought was stopped by Gato and his henchmen. Gato continued, "Well, it's not like I was gonna pay you guys anyway. First one to bring me their heads gets double pay!"

The bandits needed no further motivation. Kakashi prepared himself again for battle but...

"Haku. Kill 'em." And with that Haku began his murderous rampage.

Tazuna was beginning to feel very grateful for hiring these ninjas. He hoped his daughter and grandson were doing fine in this stressful situation. Although he was pretty upset that his bridge was completely frozen.

But he decided to let it go.

"Tsunami and Inari should be safe with that kid's clones looking out for them." Tazuna said to himself.

'The effeminate brat is breaking out of our control.' Kyuubi warned.

"Understood master."

Haku finally broke out of Naruto's control. He cried tears of rage at what the Uzumaki made him do. Turning him against his true master. He looked around for the boy. With his eyes set on his enemy he dashed towards Naruto as fast as he could. This time he would kill willingly.

But was too late. Naruto had influenced him once more.

"Haku. Kill yourself."

"Yes. Master." With those final words Haku committed seppuku. Tears still pouring down his face.

Naruto only smiled. "Mission complete! Let's celebrate!" Ignoring the glare from Kakashi.

"Naruto! What the fuck was that?!" Kakashi demanded.

Sasuke seemed disappointed that he didn't get the chance to fight. "How...underwhelming."

Naruto obviously didn't care. "That's a scary face you're making sensei."

"Was that some kind of mind control?", Then it dawned on him. "Did you use that on Madame Shijimi?!" He asked angrily.

Kakashi began to wonder who else Naruto had controlled. Could he have used it on the Hokage as well?

"I don't know what you mean Kakashi-sensei. People just do what I tell them. Is it really my fault that the listen?" He smiled with a manic grin.

'Shit. If we don't nip this in the bud Konoha is screwed.' Kakashi said nothing else.

Sounds of explosions came from the town. Tazuna, of course, was worried about his family. Ignoring the warnings from Kakashi, he ran into town.

"This isn't over, Naruto." Kakashi said menacingly. "Team 7, let's go!" And with that they followed on after Tazuna.
