Everything has Changed

Part 15

-Sasuke's POV-

I felt myself wake up.

Bright light greeted my newly opened eyes.

I sat up and started scanning my surroundings.

Where am I?

I was on a plain white bed.

White curtains.

White walls.

Some medicine at my bedside.

Then, I finally knew...

I'm in a hospital.

There were 2 others occupied beds in the room.

One was beside my own and the other one is adjacent to mine.

Then, I realized Sakura and Naruto were the ones who were occupying the beds.

What happened?

Then, recent events came back.

All details hitting me with such strong force.

Causing me to fall back to my bed.

I was in a daze.

Just staring at the white ceiling of the hospital.

Why did he do that?

Why?

I needed answers!

I sat up again.

Frustrated.

I swear.....

I'll avenge my clan....

My family...

I'd take my revenge on him....

No matter what....

I have to take revenge!

Then I felt something new acquire in my heart.......

Hatred.....

Despise......

For a person....

Itachi!

Then, Naruto and Sakura began to gain consciousness.

"Sasuke..... are you alright?" asked Sakura when she saw me.

"Teme.... you there?" said Naruto a moment later.

"Yeah,I'm fine...... How about you two?" I asked.

"Good as new!" said Naruto.

"Naruto, you're not new! I mean you were born like a few years ago!" protested Sakura.

"Oh, so you mean I'm old Sakura-chan?" Naruto answered.

"Not really....." she said..... "Maybe....."

"Hey I heard that!" said Naruto and went to Sakura's bed.

"You need a punishment..... Forehead!" grinned Naruto.

Then he started tickling her sides and feet.

"AHAHAHAHA! NARUTO! AHAHAHA! STOP! AHAHAH IT!" shrieked Sakura while crying tears of joy.

I smiled.... 

These 2, they would do anything to make me feel better....

Then something came into my mind.....

If I want to take revenge on Itachi....

I need to focus on just that then.

Only that.....

So, both Sakura and Naruto would be considered.....

A distraction then.....

Which leads to something....

I have to choose between my goal or my friendship....

I knew if I told both of them this they would try to convince me to let go of my revenge plan for Itachi.

I looked over to my best friends.....

They....

They.....

Would understand right?

Or wouldn't they?

After some time we were released from the hospital.

I had live in an apartment near Sakura's and Naruto's.

I was still thinking of the choice I would make....

Day by day I would space out because of this....

"Sasuke, you're acting real weird every single day!" burst out Sakura one day.

"Yeah! Didn't we tell you that if anything bothers you tell us?" said Naruto.

Then I began to get irritated for no reason.

"You know what guys, how about we stop being friends now?" I blurted out.

What did I just say?

"Sasuke..... you didn't mean that.... right?" asked Sakura with a sad smile.

I took a deep breath....

I have to do this!

"Unfortunately, I did," I answered.

At that Sakura burst to tears.

Naruto went to her side and hugged her.

I also wanted to do the  same.....

But I can't.....

"Sasuke...... WHY? WHY DID YOU SUDDENLY WANT TO BREAK OUR FRIENDSHIP?"shouted Naruto also beginning to cry.

"B-because I just hate it when you guys interfere and get too close to my personal space! " I said.

I didn't mean it but it was the only way to do this.

"But....... YOU PROMISED!" cried Sakura.

I wanted to make up with them again.

"Sorry Sakura..... Aren't promises meant to be broken at some time?" I said and walked away.

I walked away.

Shielding myself to their pleas and cries.

I'm sorry guys its the only way....

Then I shut myself in my room and cried my hardest....

I lost everything I had.....
