Chapter 21

Niall Pov

"Zayn stop" I said

Louis called me earlier and explained the whole situation. I was mad at first but I got over it as soon as I realized that Leeroy actually stopped the plan because he cared about me and Liam. I called Liam after that and since Leeroy is his brother, he forgave him instantly. We both decided that we should go to Veronica's house in case there was any trouble and that is where I am now, witnessing Zayn beat up my boyfriend.

"Niall I know this looks bad to you but if you knew what this dork was going to do you..." I interrupted Zayn

"Yeah I know, he was planning to make me love him and break my heart, Louis called me an explained everything." I said

"Niall I can explain!" I heard Lerroy say from underneath Zayn's body.

"Shut it dork, I'm not finished with you." Zayn held up his fist ready to throw another punch toward Leeroy but I immediately pushed him off and helped Leeroy get up.

"Why are you helping me?" Lerroy asked

"Yeah why are you helping him?" Zayn accused as he got off the floor, I ignored Zayn and turned to face Leeroy .

"Because for one, I can't stand to see you get hurt because you actually did make me fall in love with you and two, Louis explained how you weren't going along with the plan anymore because you have feeling for me too." I explained

"I do have feeling for you Niall, and I'm sorry I ever wanted to hurt you."Lerroy gave me a hug which I returned, when we separated we saw that Liam had stepped menacingly towards Zayn.

"If you ever hurt my brother again, I will hurt you twice as bad." Liam threatened

"But he was planning to hurt you even before he even knew he was your brother."

"I don't care, it's my responsibility to take care of him now and that is a responsibility that I take seriously." Liam glared at Zayn

"You know what, I'm done with all of you guys, go and live a happy life without me because I don't want to be part of it." Zayn said as he turned to leave.

"No Zayn please don't go!" Veronica yelled, I was unaware of her presence until now, all my attention was focused on Leeroy and his beaten face.

"Maybe we should go and treat your face." I whispered in Leeroy's ear

"No I can't leave Veronica alone!" Lerroy said, I was about to protest when Harry and Louis came running towards us.

"Zayn wait don't leave, we haven't told you the whole story." Louis said

"I don't care." Zayn replied

"Yes you do!" Harry said

"See Louis and Harry are here, come on let me take care of you." I whispered in Leeroy's ear once again and he nodded, I gave Liam a glance which he understood and followed us to the car.

"Are you ok Leeroy?" Liam asked once we got into the car.

"Yeah, thank for being my protective brother today." Leeroy said

"I will always be your protective brother." he replied

"And I will always be your protective boyfriend." I added

"I am thankful that I finally got both of you guys to be mine even if it's not in the way that I expected." Leeroy said

I smiled and started the car and drove away with my boyfriend and my best friend safe in the backseat of the car.
