I still remember how the world looked that day. It was raining and the grass and trees were swaying in the wind like they were saying goodbye. That day I thought they were waving me off to school, but maybe it was my mom and my former life they were saying goodbye to that day. I remember the car swerving and how nothing felt right. I remember my mom yelling, the screech of the tires, and the crash of the windshield, then the world going black. I had that dream as my last peaceful moment with my mom and the not so peaceful last moment as my nightmare.
