Welcome to the Side Quests starring The Wizard of New Town. These are short adventures featuring Max, or Maximus, as he tries to end the spell of an evil wizard.

Max's life had been pretty normal, except for the occasional writer's block. One day, the world around him began to change into a fantasy novel. An evil wizard, tired of the modern world and believing that science was killing magic, used a powerful spell to send the world to a time of magic. And Max was chosen by Fate to restore order before the world was stuck in the Dark Ages.

Main characters:
Max/Maximus: A fantasy writer from the modern age, now he has magical powers
Ryack/Ryan: He made video game walkthroughs, now he is a bounty hunter, he also remembers the modern world
Aleya: An elf princess chosen by Fate to help Max on his journey
Phil: Made from a branch of the Tree of Knowledge and forged in the fire of Prometheus, Phil is Max's talking magic wand, he used to be Max's writing pen
