Mara P.O.V.
Leroy is really nice...
"You know the fair in town?" Leroy asks raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah but I'm not going" I say shrugging my shoulders.
"Why not?" He asks confused.
I shrug my shoulders again..
"Oops sorry" I say scared.
"Why you apologizing?" He asks confused.
"Cause I answered you with motions instead of words"
"OK and?" He says clearly not seeing my point.
"Dylan hates when I do that" I tell him.
He shrugs his shoulders
"Well I'm not Dylan" He says laughing.
I laugh.. He's cool.
Ring Ring Ring..My phones goes off.
"Who calling us?" He asks grabbing my phone.
I just smile.
"Martin.. This the boy that was at the hospital with you?" He asks.
I nod.
"Declined" He says pressing it.
I laugh.
"What's funny?" Dylan asks walking round the corner.
"Nothing" I say scared. Ever since he hit me I been on edge.
"Get to work" Dylan says glaring at Leroy.
"I'm done" Leroy says calmly.
"Well go do something else" Dylan tells him.
Leroy stands up.
"I'll talk to you later" Leroy tells me.
I nod afriad of what Dylan might do.
Dylan P.O.V.
Leroy been a little to friendly with Mara. I know I messed up by hitting her but that don't mean another nigga can walk in and take my place... I love Mara.
"Let me talk to you outside" I tell Mara.
She gets up and we walk outside.
"What's up?" She asks confused.
"You and Leroy" I say calmly trying not to overreact.
"He's just a friend" She says playing with her fingers.
"I don't want you talking to him no more and I meant that"
"OK" she says nodding
I smile.
"Boss!" Marcus yells.
"Yeah?" I ask.
"How many bags of keys you wanna move tonight?" He asks.
"Fifty, so y'all better get to work" I tell him.
"Alright" He says going back in.
I look at Mara and she looks scared.
"Don't be afraid of me" I say kissing her.
"Ever since you hit me I feel like I have to be" She says with watery eyes.
I hug her not knowing what else to do or say.
"I love you" I say hugging her tighter.
We break the hug
"I love you too" She says wiping her tears.
Leroy P.O.V.
I don't know how Mara deals with that for real... Like I don't care how high off coke Dylan was he ain't have to slap Mara around and spit on her like he dr.dre or some shit.
"Look alive before I shoot you" Marcus tells me as we bag the coke.
"You always tryna shoot somebody" I say squinting my eyes at him.
He laughs..
"So what's up with you and scrub?" He asks talking about Mara.
"I want her" I say being honest.
"Bruh you know that's bosses girl" He says shaking his head in disagreement..
"I know but I can't help how I feel. I just wanna vibe with her" I say being honest..
"Leroy!" Dylan says walking in with Mara.
"Yeah?" I ask.
"Stay away from my girl" He says bluntly.
I chuckle.
"What's funny?" He asks stepping to me.
"Obviously you threatened that I could take her from you" I say being honest.
"Obviously you don't know I'll beat the fuck out you" He says clinching his jaw.
"I know you could beat the fuck out me. But obviously I dont care cause you beating my ass ain't gone change shit, I'll eat Maras pussy with a black eye" I say causing Dylan to swing at me.
I dodge it.
Marcus jumps in between us.
"Just go home" Marcus tells me holding Dylan back.
"Bye beautiful" I tell Mara.
She just smiles looking me in the eyes.
"You bold as fuck boy I'll give you that" Khris says. He's one of our gang members.
"I'm an honest person" I say shrugging my shoulders.
