Why didn't I mention the little meet up Noah wanted to have after school?

I was interrupted from my thoughts when Taylor opened her door. "Come on Lona. We're gonna be late." I pushed my door open and stepped out of the car.

Taylor and I didn't have next period together but I had gym with Callie, another one of my close friends.

I caught up to Taylor as she began to head towards the school. "Hey, don't worry about Joyce. I can handle it. I would like it if you stay out of the drama. There is no reason for you to get mixed up in all of this, okay?"

Taylor said nothing as she pushed open the school door. I gripped her arm lightly stopping her from heading off to her class. "Okay?" I ask again knowing Taylor was already pissed.

She nodded, not meeting my gaze. I let go and watched her walk down the hall. I knew she wasn't going to let me handle it by myself. I was thankful for such a great friend who would have my back no matter what.

I headed in the opposite direction as Taylor-towards the gym. I was not looking forward to gym at all. Not only because it's gym, but also because Joyce and Noah were in my gym class. "Just what I need," I mutter before stumbling into the rowdy humid room.
