Epilogue

Authors POV

That was the end of 'the others' the ship had been what was keeping them alive and upon its destruction all remaining 'others' on the earth were destroyed with it leaving the world safe from them forever

With time people healed and began to learn to trust again and the few thousand people remaining on the planet began work to rebuild it

With two exceptions

Chloe and Ryan went back to their cabin in the seclusion of the forest was all they wanted, one day they would return to normal life and leave the quietness and safety

Until then they were happy to remain in the company of just each other and soon their newborn........

Chloe's POV

*6 months later*

"OH DEAR GOD RYAN FRICKING MCCARTAN I HATE YOU FOR THISSSSSSS!" I screamed through the pain

"I know you do baby but come on you're almost there, come on sweetie" he supported but Oh dear god it wasn't helping!

"OH MY GOD, RYYYYYYY!" I screamed

"One last push Chlo and your a mom" I soothed

I screamed so loudly that I was thankful we were so secluded in the woods

I pushed with everything I had in me and then finally I gasped for air and then flopped back into the bed as I heard little cries fill the room

"That's it, well done baby it's all over" he told me with the biggest smile ever on his face

"What is it?" I ask, still breathing quite heavily

"We have a daughter" he tells me and I couldn't be more happy

"Can I hold her?" I asked him but it looked a little like he'd never let her go

"Of course shes your daughter as much as she is mine" he sat down on the bed next to me and handed me out daughter

"She's beautiful" I feel like crying, happy tears obviously but still

"She looks just like her mom" he tells me and I snuggle into him

"What do you think for a name?" He asks me and I don't know why because I hand revenge thought about it until right now but I just blurt out a name

"Gracie" I blurt out

"It's perfect" he agrees

"It really is" I whisper as I look down at the little baby girl in my arms

And just as I did those little eyes opened for the first time

She had my blonde hair and Ryan's brown eyes but with green flecks

She was the perfect combination of us

She was worth fighting for

One day she'll come to know the story surrounding the beginning of her life

But until that day she can live in blissful ignorance

The war for her life was fought and won, but there was a much more significant battle we endured during that time

And having her here in my arms I can finally put that story to an end

'The others' were defeated and destroyed

The war for the world was over

The war for the world was won
