Not less than an hour, he was at her door, nervousness enveloping him. The house helper opened the door, he informed the helper about coming to see his patient, the thin old man with a frothy mustache ran up the house's wooden stair to inform his master. The house was a big villa with beige and wooden interiors, simple and classic, the beautiful bougainvillea peeking out of the house's dark brown gate was a treat for Surya to watch in fact the house was surrounded with the plant giving a good touch to the dark wood. He ran back down " sir is resting upstairs, please come" leading him to the stairs, as he climbed up the stairs there was a room to his right, he knocked the door, waited patiently for the reply and the door opened, it wasn't his patient but it was her. She was wearing her round reading glasses, pink pajamas and a matching
t-shirt, probably her house dress he thought. " oh doctor sorry for keeping you waiting, please dad's room is right there on far right. I'll just get the files and come, you carry on" she gave an apologetic smile, he didn't know why but that smile made him feel as though someone was offering him a cup of hot chocolate, it warmed his heart, shaking his head like a happy kid, he walked, Roshni came behind him with the file in her hand but the papers inside it started falling out on the floor, Surya turned behind to find Roshni picking up the scattered papers from the floor. Roshni made a movement to get up when Surya told her sternly " Stop" his hand reflexively went to cover her head that was going to hit the long table on the side, under which the last paper she took fell but he stopped midway, his words startled Roshni and she looked up at him, his black orbs producing electricity , she wasn't really good in science but she did know that electricity cannot be passed from eyes. As crazy at it sounds but she couldn't stop looking at his eyes, her heart rejected her own orders, maybe this is the first time it's deceiving her, she'll soon understand the way it works.finally managing to pull her gaze away from his, she found his hand above her head trying to protect her from hitting the corner of the table, her cheeks reddened with embarrassment, she felt like a silly little girl. Both entered Mr. Arwinds's room, he was resting on the bed. Surya did the check up, Roshni was arranging the papers of the file, there was something written behind a prescription and it was what Surya had written about her, reading it made her smile unknowingly, it was one if the cutest thing somebody has ever written for her and it fitted her perfectly she thought, his poem warmed her up
" you seem to be perfectly fine sir so I'll see you after a few days" Surya said,
" I'm perfectly alright doctor" Arwind replied with a brisk tone
" please Roshni go down and send him off " her dad requested her, Roshni paced down behind the doctor, overtaking him she opened the door, "thank you again for coming home to check up on my father" she smiled
" please don't mention it" he waved it off walking out of the door, resting on the door lazily , her cheek touching the cold door she asked him " so? " the question hanging in the air,her eyes like an innocent puppy, her tone very casual and that question made Surya blurt something out from the back of his heart " can I take you out for dinner tomorrow? " he was asking for a date, oops that wasn't supposed to come out he thought, he wanted to punch himself on the face with an iron box
Roshni's face turned into a puzzlement, but her eyes were lit up, a small smile climbed on the corner of her lips, she shook her head slowly, this made Surya grin, he thought maybe not to his previous thought, he left happily, those black eyes of his were like two black pools, absorbing her like the black hole. thinking of it, the corner smile on Roshni's face turned into a big flashing one.

Work work work , between all this work, life and death a certain someone's thought was etched on Surya's mind, probably it was because of the dinner date he had with her.Should I buy her flowers or not? Is it too cliche?, a lot of thoughts was going on in his mind.
Roshni had two wardrobes full of dresses but she couldn't seem to chose one, she knew he's kind of classy and well dressed, she wanted to wear something like a vintage dress, perhaps a vintage gown with floral print and she remembered that she had bought something like that. The new dress was the perfect dress for her date with a touch of khol and a pale lipstick for make up and two round pearl earings for the accessories.
