The New Girl

Soojung walked in the halls, her face purposely hidden in her books.



She still couldn't get her mind off of the date she found 'magical'.



Soojung walked over to her locker and turned her lock, still day-dreaming. She was dazed so much she didn't notice Chanyeol watching her with amusement.



"You okay Princess?"



She snapped and jumped back as she opened her locker. Once Soojung knew what was going on she slapped him on the shoulder. "Ow!" He yelled.



"Why did you do that?"



Soojung crossed her arms. "Because you scared me."



Chanyeol smirked. "Were you thinking about our... Date?"



Soojung froze. That was exactly what she was thinking about. She was very easy to read. A little too easy.



Soojung opened her mouth but consonants and vowels were flying everywhere. Before she could embarrass herself even more she ran away, leaving Chanyeol holding back his laughter.

I ran into the classroom. All eyes were staring at me, smiling. I ignored their greetings and instantly sat down to my seat. I hid my face into my arms.



Good one Soojung. You totally embarrassed yourself in front of Chanyeol.



My heart was still abnormally beating. It was scaring me. Why was I falling in love with Chanyeol so easily?



How was I able to admit to it so openly to myself? Was it that strong?



I felt a presence sit beside me. I slowly peeked and it was Chanyeol smiling warmly, his head rested on his hand.



He looked so... Cute. He was staring at me. His eyes were so sincere. So genuine.



But that moment was ruined when, "Mianhe, you're in my seat."



Both Chanyeol and I looked up, wondering who would be able to interrupt our contact.



It was a girl, her hair was long and black. Mine had the same length, but auburn.



She had big brown eyes like me. She looked at me with disgust, but looked at Chanyeol with dolly, glistening eyes.



"Oh? Annyeonghaseyo! Cho Minimnida!" Cho Min introduced before secretly glaring at me.



I squinted my eyes at her, knowing her intentions. "Nice to meet you Cho Min." Chanyeol greeted a little coldly.



I tried to stifle my laugh as a snort came out. Cho Min looked surprised and angry at the same time.



"C'mon 'Jungie, you can sit with me." Chanyeol said, taking my hand and leading me to his seat.



"'Jungie? Where'd that come from?" I asked. For some reason I wanted him to call me by that name more. It made me feel like I was special.



Chanyeol shrugged. "I don't know. It just came out my mouth. Therefore, that's your new name. Only I can call you that arasseo?"



I couldn't help but blush. "W-Whatever Yeollie."

Chanyeol was about to walk with Soojung out of class until, "Chanyeol oppa! Let's eat lunch together arasseo! Kaja!" Cho Min said, locking their arms together before giving Soojung a glare.



How pathetic... She thought. But Soojung couldn't help but feel lonely and most of all... Jealous.
