"I see the guys!" Jack yelled, walking faster until the guys came into view for me as well.  Zack and Rian were sitting on a coach talking while Alex was standing up flirting with a girl with minimal clothing on.

"Hey, Maxie," Alex said, walking away from the girl to give me a hug.

"Hey," I smiled, which quickly disappeared as the girl gave me a stank eye.

I waved towards Zack and Rian as they held their drinks up at me in a greeting.

"How are you liking the party so far?" He asked, offering me a sip from his cup.

"I literally just walked in through the door," I laughed, taking his cup and taking a sip before almost spitting it out.

Alex let out a loud laugh, bending forward before snapping back up.  "Not a fan of alcohol?"

"I've never drank any before," I shrugged.

"Aw, you're such an angel," Alex said pulling me into a side hug.  "Big gulps help.  Just take a swing without tasting it," he suggested.

"I think I'll pass for now," I said, handing him back his cup.

Alex shrugged, finishing off the last of the cup.  "I'm going to go find Jack and party," he winked at me before disappearing off into the crowd.  I looked around, just now realizing Jack wasn't even with me anymore.  I felt a pang at my chest, like I was being forgotten, but quickly snapped out of those thoughts as I realized Zack and Rian were still here.

"Come have a seat," Rian yelled over the music, patting the empty space between him and Zack. I sat down between the two and still felt stiff.  This party wasn't getting any better.

"What's wrong?" Rian asked, nudging me.

I shrugged my shoulders.

"You can tell me," he smiled, kicking his feet up on the small table in front of us.

I shook my head.  "No, it's nothing, I'm just trying to get used to this."  I paused.  "Why aren't you and Zack wandering around after girls, too?" I winked, thinking back to how Jack was eyeing a girl up when we first walked in.

"We both have girlfriends already," he explained.

"What?" I asked, surprised.  I punched his arm now.  "Why haven't I met them yet?" I demanded, looking over at Zack.

"Rian's moved so it's more of a long distance relationship now, and mine's not really serious so I haven't introduced her to any of my friends yet."  Zack shrugged.

I nodded my head before turning to Rian.  "Next time she comes up I want to meet her," I whined, poking him.

"All right, all right," he laughed.  "I'm going to go get another drink, you want anything?"  I shook my head.  "Okay, wait right here, I'll be right back," he said, standing up.
