"Jack, I'm hungry."

The movie, Aladdin, had just ended.

"That's why you should have eaten."
"I told you I didn't fucking want Thai. You don't listen."

Jack chuckled - this asshole really thinks my ranting is funny?
"Too bad, beautiful."
Jack got up to put in a different movie while Amal smiled, secretly blushing. She couldn't really think of Jack in that type of way. She wasn't trying to ruin any friendship - but he was still a very attractive guy.

"What's next?" Amal asked her best friend.
"The Little Mermaid?"
"How about we just watch Aladdin again? You know us Arabs got to stay together - and Aladdin is lowkey cute."

"You're half-Arab. And it's weird you like a cartoon"
"Bitch, shut up. You Jewish-Czech-Slovak-German-Irish-English-son-of-a-bitch."
"Ashkenazi Jewish, first of all. And why you gotta insult moms like that? She did nothing but love you."

Amal laughed as Jack looked at her in fake seriousness.
"She gave birth to a very sexy son who won't leave me alone. That's what she did wrong."

Jack laughed and climbed on top of me.
I squealed and tried to push him off.
"What do you want? Get off of me!"
"Gimme a kiss."

We were sitting in front of the t.v. on a pile of covers and pillows, watching movies for hours on end. And now he's tryna kiss.
"This ain't Netflix and chill, Jack Finnegan."
He started laughing.

"In all honesty, I really missed you, Mall Ball."

I looked over at Jack.
"Shut the fuck up."

"I love you too. It was weird not seeing you every day. I missed hearing your voice, seeing your hair, your face, those beautiful green eyes, those beautiful brown thighs.."

I laughed and shoved him lightly before he pulled me closer into him.

"No, really though. I missed you. You're my best friend, don't let anybody tell you different."
I smiled and snuggled into him closer.
My best friend...
