◇Coma◇

Five months. It's been five months since Mahiru has been in a coma. Kuro stuck by his side in the hospital , he never left his eve once. The doctors would come in , tell him to leave but the servamp never left once. Sometimes they would kick him out and he would force a fight. He didn't want something happening to his eve if he wasn't there. He didn't trust the doctors. Soon enough they just let the blue haired vampire be. Kuro would always talk to Mahiru , even though the brunette couldn't respond. If only he had stood in the way of Mahiru at that point in time , his eve wouldnt have to be in this position . They got into a fight with Tsubaki once again , Mahiru managed to talk to Tsubaki , and try to make him reconsider , but it never worked out. Tsubaki had drove a knife through the boys abdomen .

And also threw him off the balcony of a building , only to have Mahiru hit his head on the way down onto another balcony. He's been in this state since. "Mahiru. Its such a pain not hearing your voice. I miss you. I really do , I've been doing your school work for you and turning it in for you , and then coming straight back to this hell hole. I do it for you. I do it because I'm your loyal servamp. I'm not leaving your side no matter what. My brothers and their eves tell me to get some space but we can't be apart for long , or you'll die. If I had the choice to leave even if it wouldn't kill you, I wouldn't. You know. I really hope you wake up soon. You're my pride and joy , you're the only one who's been there for me , you understand me." Kuro stated .

He held his eves hand , and wasn't surprised when Mahiru didn't hold his back. "You are always there for me , when I'm being lazy you'd argue with me for the hell of it. Mahiru , they say you might not make it. The wound was deep but managed to heal some. The bang to your head was life threatening . " Kuro could feel his eyes water. He shook it off. "I need you Mahiru. Everyone needs you. We will never have to fight again , I promise. Please wake up soon Mahiru. I can't stand not talking to you , hugging you. Kissing you even. You're the love of my life , my eve . The one who took me in when others didn't. Fight this Mahiru. Fight for me , for us. I need you Mahi. I need you. Please come back to me." The vampire had tears streaming down his face. He didn't care if anyone saw , he just wanted his eve to wake up.

He cried deeply into the boys arm , hiccuping as he did so. When the doctors announced that Mahiru went into a coma , Kuro was crushed. His heart felt as if it had been stepped on , stabbed , brutally stabbed and shattered , like a mirror. He couldn't take the pain anymore. He was going to be there when his eve awoken. He wanted to be the first one Mahiru saw. Kuro gripped Mahiru's hand , hoping to get some sort of response , but didn't. The door opened , Kuro still crying by his eves side. "Please , Mahiru. Wake up. I love you." The group that had walked in , frowned at the sight. Lawless was the one who reaches forward , rubbing his brothers back.

"He will wake up , brother. We have faith in him." Kuro sniffled , wiping his tears. He turned around , facing Lawless , Misono , Lily , Kranz , Licht , Tetsu , Hugh and Sakuya. Mahiru's other two friends would show up after school with stuffed animals , flowers and balloons every time. "Kuro , have you slept?" Misono asked softly. His purple hair was a mess , he was also a mess. Mahiru was his friend , a very good one at that. "No. And I don't want to. I'll take a good thirty minute nap , I don't want to miss anything ." the group all frowned once again. Sakuya stepped forward , placing a kiss on Mahiru's head. This angered Kuro , but he didn't want to get kicked out from starting a fight.

"He will wake up. Also , I never got to thank you." Kuro lifted his head more , the dark bags obvious under his eyes. "For what." He said in his usual bored tone. "Being there for my best friend. I trust you with him. And he will wake up , this type of stuff is to troublesome. He likes putting things simply."

Sakuya forced a small smile. Kuro just nodded his head , transforming into his cat form , cuddling on Mahiru's chest. He liked doing this , he could feel his eves heart beat. "Have faith Kuro , he will be better in time." Lily smiled sadly, setting down a vase with red and white roses. "And when he wakes up , I'm sure he would go all out for you." Lily wasn't in the mood to strip, he was just as upset as the others were. Misono sat beside Mahiru , holding his hand. Kuro didn't object to it , he and Misono would never be a thing , considering Misono was with Lily. "You should at least eat something . " Kuro had always thought about drinking Mahiru's blood , but he didn't want to suffer and consequences . Tetsu handed over a bag of chips.

"You can have them , I brought them for a snack but you need them." Kuro eyed the bag of chips that Misono held in his hand , but set them on the counter. Everyone talked to Mahiru , then left because they had their own lives to attend to. Nurses came in and didn't question the cat on the boys chest. Whenever they came near him , he hissed , clawed or bit at them. "Wake up soon , Mahiru." The servamp yawned , curling up on his eves chest , slowly falling asleep.

When he awokened , he looked at the clock on the wall , and realized he slept an entire two days. Was he really that tired? He looked at Mahiru , noticing the face mask was gone. Could he finally breath in his own? He transformed into his human form when he pounced onto the chair by the hospital bed his eve currently lay in. He walked over to the curtains , opening them. It was probably mid afternoon. He sighed , opening up the window , letting the cool autumn air flow in. "Its so nice outside Mahiru. I wish you were awake so you could experience this with me." He sighed , walking over to his eves side.

He softly kissed his eves lips , then his forehead . He played with Mahiru's hair , smiling at the boy. "You look so peaceful. Mahiru , when you wake up , can we maybe go to the park where we first kissed? Or we could go anywhere you'd like. I wouldn't mind. I hope you can hear me. And I sure hope you remember me when you wake up , they did say you probably would remember anything , but I bet you they're wrong." The servamp , held his eves hand. "I know they're wrong. You're so simple I could die." The vampire chuckled softly.

"When you wake up , I'll help you clean the entire apartment from top to bottom. I won't be lazy for a while. But I will still be lazy when you're fully recovered. " The door was cracked open , nurses and doctors were listening in on what Kuro was saying , they didn't want to interrupt. "Hey Mahi? I love you." Kuro frowned , tightening his grip on the brunettes hand. "Also , when you wake up.." The bluenette sucked in a deep breath. "Let's go home." He said softly , a hint of sadness in his voice made it crack.

Tears fell . It would be going on the sixth month Mahiru had been in his coma . Mahiru slept passed his birthday. "I hope you know , you're sixteen already . So dont go freaking out or anything." Kuro laughed sadly. Doctors and nurses entered the room. Kuro didn't bother looking at them , his attention was focused on Mahiru. "Could you lift him up so we can change his pillows?" A nurse asked softly , she found the blue haired vampire to be quite scary.

Kuro didn't say a word. He slowly lifted Mahiru up , the boys limp body was against his. His heart fluttered . Mahiru's pillows were changed , and he softly laid his eve down , holding his hand again. "Those pillows are soft right? I hope they are. You deserve the best things." Kuro smiled softly , caressing the boys hand with his thumb.

"MahiMahi. I love you." The vampire kissed his eves lips , then sat back down as his head lied by his eves legs. The vampire slowly fell asleep , but tried his best not to.

Hours went by , and the servamp finally woke up. He felt fingers slowly tug at his hair. "Wake up , Kuro." Kuro's head immediately lifted , his crimson eyes meeting the brown eyes he longed to see for the past five months.

"M-Mahiru?!" The servamps eyes watered , reaching up caressing the brunettes face. Mahiru nuzzled his face in Kuro's hand . "Mahiru!" Kuro embraced his eve, crying in his shoulders. "Shh . I'm here now Kuro , dont cry." Kuro couldn't help himself , he was happy. His lover was awake. Kuro pulled away slightly , pressing his lips to the brunettes soft ones. He longer for this , he craved this for almost six months. "I love you , I love you , I love you." The vampire cried. Mahiru smiled , hugging the vampire , running his fingers through his blue hair. " I love you to Kuro , let's go home." Kuro smiled , holding his eves hand.

"Let's go home , Mahiru."
