2. I Hate This Game

"Thanks William for calming everyone down, now let the real games begin. Inside the tube there're twelve blue cubes and two red cubes. One by one you all will randomly choose a cube. If you choose a blue cube, you are safe that round. If you choose the red cube, then you have to fight for your life. The two people that choose the red cubes has to sit in the hot seat while everyone else vote on who they think should leave. The person with the most votes will be executed while the other has another chance to win. This will go on until there is one person left victorious. I see some of you have already put yourself in a clique. The more people on your side, the better. This is the end of my first message. Good luck players."

The cubes walls all change from a bright white light to a collage of a woman's face and body in different positions of the room. The pictures seem to be outdated with the quality. She's has long blonde hair and a dress that covers everything from below the knees up. In one picture shows her sitting next to another woman around the same age and height that looks like the final two of that game. All around the walls and ceiling is her in different postures with the name 'Stephanie Globiss #1' circling around the room.

The fourteen people are now together in different parts of the cube socializing and as frightened as can be. They've all accepted there deaths and are tired of trying to fight.

Most of the boys are on one side of the cube and the girls on the other. Cleo is talking on the girls side while Hazel is with the boys. Clearly the first alliances made this game are eventually divided into two sides.

Swift's voice fills the room.

"You may now grab a cube from the bucket."

"Fuck it. I'll go first." Pharaoh says standing up from his corner. He ties his bundle of dreads into a bun on the top of his head and reaches his hand down the long black tube swiftly and effortlessly to pull out the likely. A blue cube. Safe this round for sure.

Hazel is right behind him with the twins behind her. All pull one by one and all three are safe. Four cubes, ten to go.

Elisa is next. She slowly walks from the girl side still confused to what exactly she got herself into. "I really don't want to do this, but I'm not sure what would happen if I don't pull." She closes her eyes and reaches into the bucket and pulls out a small cube almost an inch big. She opens her eyes to see safety.

Tabitha and Jenna choose together. You can tell both are scared but Tabitha is keeping herself strong for the twelve year old she is looking after. Tabitha picks up Jenna a bit so she can grab one. She hops down from her grasp to see a blue cube. She smiles and hugs Tabitha and stands behind her podium. Tabitha emotionless, pulls out a blue cube. Seven cubes left. Five blues and two reds.

Andie and Jillian go together. They pull in sync and and lift up their hands, a small cube inside each. Jillian opens her hand first to see a red cube. Her face instantly turns red with fear. Tears drench her face as she makes her way to Winter's old seat. She covers her face with her palms as Andie opens her hands to a blue cube.

Winter, Joshua, Will, Cleo, and Xavier are left to pull. Four blue cubes and one red cube.

Joshua decides to pick his luck next. Not much is said about him. He doesn't talk much to anyone. He is a gorgeous Asian man with a strong body and a height for the gods. He opens his hand to reveal a blue cube. Four cubes left.

Xavier is next. He's just like Joshua when it comes to his social abilities. The rest of the boys don't speak that often to him even though the game just began. Maybe he will shine more as the game progresses since he is safe for another round.

Winter, Cleo, and William are left. Winter was on the girls side unfazed as she watched the others take their pick. The was a thirty-three percent chance she would be fighting next to Jillian. She struts her way to the bucket as everyone breaks their necks to see her. She graciously and quickly pulls a blue cube out. She model walks her way back to the girls. Williams and Cleo are the last people that have to pull.
