I always found my job at the coffee shop so dull.

Nothing was ever new, and my life was far from what you would call happy.

But,

You walked in and your presence blinded me.

I was floored.

Your smile was like nothing I have ever seen before.

You laughed and joked with your two friends.

Goofing off.

Id usually be annoyed, but

There was something about you.

As you ordered your coffee, I was surprised at how calm I even sounded.

We don't take names, only call out the order.

I never cared for that, but you left me wishing we did.

As you picked up your coffee, you flashed me a smile.

My heart stopped.

Although I am sure you share that smile with everyone,

I could not help but feel so lucky to have it directed at me.

I watched as you drank coffee with your friends, wishing I knew your name.

Wishing I had the confidence to even ask.

But I didn't.

like always.

You'd always look up and I would nearly have a heart attack, thinking you caught me.

I ended up keeping myself busy till I saw you and your friends get up to leave.

I look up just as you look at me.

Our eyes meet.

My heart stops.

You smile.

You know.

I look back down until I hear the bell on the door ring as you and your friends leave.

I sigh,

Regretting.

Confused.

Why did you make me feel such a way?

I had no clue,

But I do know one thing for sure.

You're different.
