Demon

We both held each other, just enjoying the moment.

I kissed you all over your face.

I kissed your hand.

And then I took your fragile little wrist and traced the scars on your arm. I kissed them gently. "Never do this again." I told you. You looked down in shame and nodded but I lift your head up with my hand and looked you straight in the eye. "Don't be sad princess. I still think you're beautiful." You smiled and I tried to smile back but you just giggled softly. "Your smile is adorable." You said. I smiled more and slowly leaned in to kiss you. You did the same thing and soon our lips collided. It was amazing. I didn't let you go or pull away until a few minutes later.

You then closed your eyes and fell asleep on my lap. But before you did you took my pinky and wrapped it around yours. "Promise me you'll always be here." You said. I nodded and looked at you. "I promise." You yawned and then closed your eyes, your breathing getting slower and slower. I watched you and stroked your hair. Goodnight little human..

In the morning you woke up and looked around your room. "Demon?" You asked. I was right next to you. You didn't see me. "Demon?" You said a little louder. "I'm right next to you, love." I told you, going in front of you. You teared up and shook your head. You began searching all around your room. You opened your closet and threw everything in different directions. "Demon!" You screamed. Tears were now running down your face.

"You said you would never leave!" You screamed and cried. I shook you and yelled "Why can't you see me? I'm right here." But you just couldn't see me. You couldn't even notice me or look at me. You thought I left you. But I didn't. I promised I would never leave you. I promised. You cried and slid down the wall crying. "You promised me..you promised me..you left just like everyone else did." You cried. No I'm still here. I'm always going to be here.

You kept on crying and soon my eyes began to sting. Some tears were going down my face. Why won't you believe me? Why can't you notice me like before? I held onto you tightly. We're just like the movies remember? I looked into your mirror and clenched my fists. I only saw you. Not me.

"Please look at me." I said. "Just look at me." "Why won't you look at me!" I screamed. I was crying now. Sometimes I guess, a monster could cry.. You were sad, frustrated, and angry at me. Please don't be. It hurts so much to see you like this. You're my little human and you're always going to be. And I'll always be your protector, your monster, and your demon.
