I always hear it everytime we eat together. I've heard it manu times that I could've memorize it.
But of course, everything he says has sense. It's all correct.
After eating, I went straight to my room.
I read some chapters in my Science book, so I can keep up with my classmates. I also computed some problems in Math.
Then I did a search about the Philippine history and the Philippine language which is Tagalog.
I'm just curious.
I also placed my books in my bag, polo shirts in the closet, and other ones on the drawer.
We ate dinner and the same events happened.
Back to my room again, doing what I always do.
It was past eight and my eyelids became heavy.
I was about to go to bed, when I heard a knock.
I reached for the knob and opened it.
Mom was there, standing.
I raised my brow which she knew that I was asking what she wanted.
"Are you ready for tomorrow?" she asked.
I opened the door wider so she can see my stuff.
She nodded meaningfully.
"So..." she trailed. "Good luck for tomorrow." then she reached out to kiss my forehead but I avoided her.
She sighed. "You're really a grown up."
Mom patted my shoulder and went to her room.
Typical of mom.
I closed the door and went to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Morning."
"Good morning!"
"Hey son."
"Morning, Sam."
Mom, Shane, Dad and Stacey greeted me respectively, as I went downstairs.
I nod my head in acknowledgement.
I took a sandwich and wrapped it with tissue paper, then placed it in my bag.
"I'm going." I said asking their parents permission.
Mom looked at me worriedly. "Already? What about breakfast?"
I showed my sandwich.
"Do you have your money?"
I nodded.
"Your books?"
I nod.
Dad went up from his seat and wrapped his arm around mom's shoulder.
"Sheena, stop babying him. He can take care of himself."
Mom sighed. "Be careful!" she said as I went out of the house.
I ate my sandwich while walking to the bus stop.
When I reached there, it was still early so I sat on the bench and read a book.
The bus honked in front of me and I went inside it.
I saw an empty seat beside the girl and sat there.
I leaned on the seat and stared at the window.
My thoughts flew until it was interrupted by the girl beside me.
"Hello." she said.
I didn't answer.
She tried again. "Hi, what's your name?"
"Samson." I answered.
She nodded and smiled. "I'm Mia, by the way."
"Ok." I said, wanting to end our conversation.
But she didn't stop. "You're new here, right?"
I didn't answer her.
She tapped her chin, thinking. "I think I saw you before?"
'I don't care'
"Aha!" she exclaimed. "I saw you a week ago at our school, wearing a blue varsity jacket."
Oh.
"You're the one Delilah will be tutoring."
My ears perked up at what she said.
'Tutor?'
"If you'd ask, Delilah is the smartest student in the campus." she stated.
'Smartest student, ehh?'
She babbled things about this Delilah, which I'm not interested.
I'm really curious about her. Wonder when we'll meet.
The bus stopped, indicating that we reached the school campus.
Its doors opened and I went down quickly.
As I entered the school, I went straight at the principal's office.
Knock.
Silence
Knock. Knock
"Come in!" an old man's voice said.
I opened the door and the old man smiled at me.
"Good morning, Mr. Anderson, I'm Mr. Armando. Welcome to Peterson High." he greeted.
A lady, who looked like in her mid fifties gave me a paper.
My schedule.
I saw a girl, a student maybe, who is eyeing me.
'More like judging me.'
But she does it while smiling.
I looked at her.
The old man saw me looking at her and cleared his throat.
"This, Mr. Armando, is Delilah Wilkinson. She is the most intelligent student in Peterson High."
'So you're Delilah.'
Deliah grinned wider and offered her hand. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Anderson."
'Does she even frown? She looks like a clown.'
Not wanting to be rude, I shook her hand. "You too." I said.
The principal dismissed us and we walked to the hallway.
Delilah, still smiling, faced me. "Meet me tomorrow at the library, dismissal time for your first tutoring class." she said and left.
'Tutoring my ass.'
I wonder what her reaction will be when I beat her.
I shook those thoughts and went to my first class
