MY ARRIVAL

Our car entered the garage and dad parked it.

We just arrived in the Philippines a week ago.

Good thing we finally found a house, since we've been settling at a hotel for a week.

We are staying in this subdivision, what is it? Mar... Marg... Magie... Margie. Aha! Margina Estate.

We settled there, since the houses are not very expensive.

We went inside. I was fascinated of how big it is--compared to our previous house in States.

"I get to pick my own room!" Stacey, my sister stated as she ran upstairs.

Shane, another sister, followed her. "Mine's near the stairs!"

My parents settled at the living room and started kissing.

'Disgusting'

I shook my head. I better leave them doing their business.

'Parents'

I followed my sisters and went to the room farthest from the stairs. The one least exposed.

I went inside and looked around. The walls are painted white. There's a bed with white sheets and curtains with the same color.

I settled my things and laid on the bed. I placed my hands behind my head and stared at the ceiling.

White. What a pleasant color. It reminds me of purity and peace.

I just laid there and fell asleep because I didn't have enough sleep last night.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up when I felt someone jumping at the bed.
"Stop it!" I recognized Shane's voice even with my eyes closed.
I opened my eyes and confirmed that Stacey is jumping.
She saw me glaring at her and stopped.
"Look what you've done!" Shane scolded.
Stacey ran to her.
"Sorry about that." Shane apologized.
I looked at them blankly.
"Out." I said.
Shane carried Stacey on her hip and went out.
She stopped at the doorpost. "Oh, and by the way, mom said it's lunch time." then she walked out.
I can hear her scolding Stacey for waking me up.
I changed my polo shirt into a plain one and went downstairs for lunch.
"Are you ready for your first day of class?" mom asked while at the table.
I nodded.
She faced my sisters. "Did you hear your brother?"
"Of course we did. Wwe have ears." Shane answered rudely.
"You know, sarcasm is the lowest form of wit." mom chastised. "Why don't you be responsible like your brother?"
Shane groaned. "That again? Why do you always compare us?"
Dad glared at her. "We're not comparing you." he started
His speeches again.
"We just want you to have a better future..." he continued giving a speech about how he cares about us.
