A/N: Hello,

I would like to thank DoctorHunter, for the encouraging comment you posted in the prologue. It really inspired me to continue this story.

Anyway, here is it. The first chapter.

MY LIFE

"Very good Delilah!" Ms. Greene exclaimed.

She asked me the date Jose Rizal died and I answered it correctly.

Jose Rizal is the national hero of the Philippines.

Back to reality.

Ms. Greene continued teaching about the Philippine history. I answered most questions correctly.

Suddenly, the bell rang.

Some students muttered a 'yes'.

We all went out and went to the lockers.

When I reached mine, I saw my best friend, Julie, waiting there.

"Hi Delilah." she chirped.

I smiled at her. "What's your next class?" I asked.

She rolled her eyes. "Ugh! Filipino again. Yours?"

"Same" I answered getting my stuff from the locker.

"Good. So we can both suffer." she said.

I frowned. "Why do you hate Filipino so much?"

She sighed. "It's so hard. I mean, it's so hard like some words have the same spelling, yet has a different meaning when mispronounced." she rambled. "Others have a complicated spelling. Like ugh!" she groaned.

I giggled. "It can't be that bad. It's fun. Those words seem like interesting. I really like Ms. Quizon's accent." I stated. Ms. Quizon is our Filipino teacher. And she has that Tagalog accent, whom only Filipinos have.

"It is worse." she protested.

"It's not." I half smiled. "I also like Ms. Quizon's accent."

She scoffed. "OMG, that teacher thinks she's beautiful."

I laughed.

"We should really learn Filipino because we are settling in the Philippines."

Julie snorted. "You're such a nerd."

I rolled my eyes and checked my watch. "Ooppss, don't wanna be late for class. Let's go Julie." I said and we walked to our next class.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lunch came. Since the principal called me, Julie said that I meet her in the cafeteria.
I settled some things with the principal. Mr. Armando, our principal informed me about the new student who just came.
He asked me to tutor that students so that he won't be left behind with the lessons.
I, of course, agreed because there will be an extra grade given.
I got out of the principal's office and went straight to the cafeteria.
I saw Julie there, sitting on the table. I was about to approach her, but a red headed girl sat beside her.
I frowned.
Looks like Julie has found a new best friend. The one who's not always busy.
I turned around and decided to go to the library.
Before I took a step, Julie called my name.
"Delilah!" she shouted.
I turned around. "Julie! I didn't see you there." I excused.
