Apology

I got out of the library as quick as I can. His words stung me again. I don't know why am I so sensitive.

Suddenly, it started to rain. This the worst day ever! I don't have my umbrella.

I already told the driver that I will commute.

Guess I have to call him now.

I tried to find it in my bag but I realized I left it on my table at my room.

Delilah! How can you be so stupid?!

Having no choice but to wait for the rain to stop, I sat on the waiting shed near the parking lot.

Why is this happening to me?

I whimpered and covered my face using my hands. I have no idea how long until this rain would stop.

The rain poured even more and I just hugged my knees and rested my head on them.

I just sat there for a while, whining.

"Whining won't make the rain stop."

I shrieked at the voice and almost fell from the bench.

"What is wrong with you?!" I glared at Samson.

Yes, he's the one who spoke. What is he even doing here?

"Why are you still here?" He asked.

I rolled my eyes at him. "Why would I tell you?"

"Because I'm asking."

"What makes you think I'll answer your question?" I folded my arms. I sound bratty, far from what others see me, but I just don't care.

"Because I might be your only chance in going home."

How...

"Who told you I can't go home?!" I shrieked at him.

He chuckled. "So it's true."

"Why would you even think that?!" Is he a psychic or something?

"It's called common sense." He looked at me mockingly. "Why would you stay there, looking frustrated?"

I refused to be defeated so I thought of an excuse, no matter how pathetic it is.

"Who knows? Maybe I'm just waiting for my driver."

He shrugged. "Where is he now?"

"I said waiting, didn't I? So why would I wait if he's already here?"

Ha! Take that!

He rolled his eyes. "Whatever. I'll just use my umbrella to get to my car and drive myself home."

Is he mocking me?

He even emphasized the things I don't have that he has!

Wait... He has a car?

"Are you teasing me?! Cause last time I know, you are riding a bus with Mia, so just shut up."

He scoffed. "I forgot, we share the same friends. Well my parents gave it to me over the weekend. Now, do you want me to give you a ride or not?"

"You have a license? You're just 16! People in this country are not allowed to drive until 18."

"There's this thing you call Student's License."

Wow...

"Is that even allowed?!"

"You're too noisy. Just tell me if you need a ride home."
