"What happened?" he asked with a serious and worried tone.

"She got into an accident after a break-up with her boyfriend. She wasn't focused and she crossed the road on a green light a car was already warning her to get out. She didn't notice until she was ran over by the car. She is at the hospital now as we speak. With her heart and body failing to work. She has a 50-50 chance to survive. But when I visited her parents looked so worried I had to ask. The doctor wanted to let them sign a death memo. So they could take off her oxygen mask that is supporting her to live and just let her die." he said and Kagami fell onto the ground, his heart pounding with worry. He couldn't believe that this is happening to you because of him. He blamed himself from treating (Y/N) that way.

"Where is the hospital she is staying at?" Kagami asked.

"She is at Rakuwakai Marutamachi Hospital. You should hurry, I over heard her parents this morning that they were going to sign it, so she could rest in peace and that she wouldn't make it hard for herself." he said and Kagami thanked him; then he ran to the said hospital.

Upon arriving to the hospital, he rushed to the receptionist and asked her where (F/N) (L/N)'s room. The receptionist gave him the details and soon he ran to your room. Opening the door quietly, he saw (Y/N) , he found you thin and pale as well as having dextrose needles to put necessary medicine to flow into your veins, an oxygen mask on your face to keep her breathing and bandages around your wounds. The doctor was about to remove the mask until he spoke.

"Wait!" Kagami shouted.

He fell onto his knees near your bed and blamed himself. For what happened to his girlfriend. Then he remembered what your neighbor had said.

'She got into an accident after a break-up with her boyfriend.' he thought of that. Then another doctor went inside

"You must be here for her. Seems like she is giving up. Her vital signs are beginning to slow down. Her parents already sign the papers. We have permission to take her oxygen mask off." he said.

"Not yet. Let me talk to her!" he said. Kagami held your hand and whispered into your ear. He believed that you could hear him.

" (Y/N)-chan ... I'm sorry.... Very sorry. You didn't deserve that, any of that for the matter of fact. Please stay strong for me. I can't live with out you. Please wake up."

Then your vital signs pumped fast. Upon seeing it. The doctor looked surprised. You slowly opened your eyes. The doctor checked you.

"This is a miracle! She is going to live." he said and with that Kagami smiled. He kissed (Y/N)'s hand.

"Thank you." he whispered to your ear.

~Fast Forward~

(Y/N) was later discharged out the hospital for three months and came back for check-ups. Kagami continued to play basketball, but gave more time for (Y/N)...

You still had the scars from the accident, that the doctor said that it was permanent. But that didn't mind you. What was important was that Kagami is treating you like the sport he loved. Treating you how you wanted him too.

"Taiga? Don't you have practice today?" You asked.

"I want to spend time with you... I'll call in sick." he said.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes..."

Then Kagami carried you on his back, even if you were the one carrying the basket and went to the park to have a picnic.

Since then... Kagami gave you the greatest importance you deserved to have.
