Reality
A thing for me
If I had to choose between reality and fantasy
I can’t believe I would pick reality
I’m surprised myself
That I’d want such a thing
The truth
Rather than something I could control
But that’s the reason why
I pick reality over fantasy
Because in fiction I can control
And reality
Someone is writing for me
I write a book
In first person
However
The true narrator is in third
They do not speak
They write out my word
And they watch me as they see
Every mistake
Every award
They show me a different world
They are me
Yet
They are in third person
I am in first
Reality hurts
But that’s okay with me
