Sadie POV

I was pissed, and that was putting it mildly. Not only did I have to deal with hurting Andy, but I also had to deal with another attack, and the biggest since the very first one I was a part of. Once again I would have to tend to injured pack members and I would once again be saying goodbye to the ones who wouldn't make it home.

I pulled my phone from my pocket and called Mark first.

"Alpha," he answered.

"It's Sadie, there are a ton of hunters in the tree line, we're being attacked," I rushed out.

"On my way," He replied and then hung up.

I quickly dialed up the doctor and told him to come to house. If we were going to help, it needed to be where I was. I couldn't leave Ember and I doubted that even if I could, I wouldn't be able to leave my house. The dang hunters were here for me and my child, so I imagined the fight would happen on my back lawn.

Within ten minutes Steve was at my house and we were setting up areas for anyone who would be injured. My mother and sister decided to stay with us also. We were all moving around quickly, covering all surfaces with plastic sheets, hoping to save the furniture.

After the first attack we decided to make sure we were always prepared. We made sure that my house and Jackson's house was fully stocked with everything medical we may need. Our houses were situated the closest to the woods, and it always seemed that our backyards were the battle ground.

I watched my mom begin to set out all necessary medical supplies on the kitchen island while Elly moved the chairs away from the table. My mom had already covered herself in an apron that was fully stocked. Her movements were careful and slow, I figured that her stomach was giving her grief. She had healed rather well after she was attacked by Alan. Her stomach sadly had a large scar on it that I was sure would stay with her forever. She told me that it still burned and ached every now and then, but that it was getting better.

After that night, Mark refused to let my mom out of his sight and since she wouldn't leave me and Ember, he moved in with us. He only went back to his own house during the day when he had pack business to deal with. This set-up wasn't permanent though, as soon as the threat was gone my mom had planned to move in with Mark and I would keep her house as my own.

I didn't think the threat was ever going to end though. The hunters were relentless, no matter what they always came back. It didn't matter how many of them that we killed or injured, they would just call in more. Somehow they had a never-ending supply of crazy people who were intent on killing us.

I looked out the kitchen window and stared at the long line of unmoving hunters. The sun had already began it's decent into the horizon and it was almost gone, casting long eerie shadows over the ground. A few yards away from me stood a line of wolves, our wolves, readying themselves.

It almost seemed ridiculous the way it was playing out. No one was attacking, they were just standing there, staring at each other. Not one person, or wolf, moved at all. The anticipation was killing me, and I was just watching from the window, I couldn't even imagine what our pack felt like as they stood waiting for something to happen.

Then something did.

From behind the hunters I could just barely make out the glow of yellow eyes, and there was a lot. Within seconds I watched at least twenty hunters go down as wolves latched onto their backs. Without any hesitation our line of wolves were in also in motion, launching themselves across the field.

I turned away from the window and towards my family, "It's started, and I think we have the help of another pack!"

"What?" My mom and Elly yelled. They both hurried over to the window.
