AND all the chours were doing a performance of some kind! I have to rush to change into my cheer outfit, then run to my dance outfit, and then my choir outfit. That will all take place in about forty minutes, and then we would have games and stuff.
So basically, in all of our classes, we wouldn't be doing much at all. In fact, we would probably just talk in our classes all day because the teachers knew it was pointless to try and get us to learn anything.
So when I walked into my homeroom, I wasn't surprised to see everyone chatting loudly and excitedly for the playoff game tonight. I walked proudly to the center of the room and sat down at my usual desk, adjusting my outfit.
I was wearing a pair of short jean shorts, a silky black halter top that was tight in all the right places, and a wide-sleeved tank top under it. I looked pretty good.
Karla fought her way through the crowd of people, and collapsed into the desk next to me, overdramatically panting.
"This is crazy!" she exclaimed, pushing her bangs out of her eyes.
"Oh, I know," I grinned, crossing my legs. "It's going to be insane all day!"
Karla agreed, and a short fifteen minutes later, homeroom was over. I got to my locker and just grabbed a few things before walking off to math. I found a seat next to Josh, who put his arm around me and gave me a hug before the teacher came in.
I talked to him for a couple minutes, and then Mr. Spier came into the room and clapped his hands sharply to get our attention.
"Thank you," he smiled. "Now, I know that it's pointless to try and get you guys to work on anything, so you can do what you'd like. Talk, draw, anything. Just nothing inappropriate!" he practically shouted the last sentence over the buzzing of talking from all directions.
Karla and Parker brought chairs over to Josh and I, and the four of us all talked for the hour. Then when the bell rang, I packed up my stuff and headed to science.
Again, we just got to talk all hour and we didn't do a thing. But then we had to go to choir, where we were going to practice for the performance.
When we sat down, we immediately got to work on the song that we were performing. It was basically just a big remix of songs that got you pumped up. Halfway through the class though, we had a meeting for everyone performing in the pep rally.
We were told the new order, and the choir was performing first, and then cheerleaders, and then the dance team.
After the meeting, we all went to our next class, and Ms. McGill actually made us do work! I was so mad because she yelled at me beause the entire class was unfocused. I wasn't doing anything.
But I calmed down when it was time to go to lunch. I grabbed a chicken sandwich and a roll with water and ate it all hungrily. Then as soon as I was done eating, I ran to the choir room that the girls were changing in and started getting into my outfit.
For this performance, it was dark jeans, a special dark green shirt that had the show choir logo on the front and my last name spelled across the back, and a pair of white sneakers. I pulled my hair into a high ponytail, and then went through the dance routine in my head.
I was going to do a special routine in the front with gymnastics, and I remembered what I had to do. I had to do an aerial, a front handspring, and three back handsprings across the stage.
That's why I had to wear my hair in a ponytail. My hair would get too messed up if it was down. When it was fifteen minutes after fifth hour started, we got the cue that we were going to perform. The band was playing at the side as we all waited on the sides of the gym. We usually use the risers, but we weren't for this pep rally.
When our music started, we all ran onstage, jumping up and down and singing excitedly. When it was time for me to do my gymnastics, I ran out to the side and ran in front of everyone, grinning when I heard their cheers.
When we were in our final positions, we all grinned and then ran offstage, and I ran straight to the choir room where all the cheerleaders were changing. I pulled on my uniform and fixed my hair and makeup, and then we all ran out to the center of the gym with handsprings and cartwheels.
Then we did a few cheers, and then we all ran back to change. I threw on my Party Rock costume and my hip hop shoes, and then we all ran to the center of the gym. After that, we did a song about competitions and stuff, and then I got to change back to my normal clothes.
The rest of the day was so fun. We just played games for the pep rally, and then dance team had to have a meeting about the dances.
"Remember, we're going Karla's solo before the game, then the remix jazz, and then the band, which gives Alexa time to change into your lyrical, and then you guys can just do whatever for the rest of the game. Got it?" Kayla said,
We all nodded, and then ran into the room to change. Karla pulled on her jazz costume and I gave her a grin before pulling on my jazz costume, which was a realy high-waisted skirt with different colorful animal prints, and it was all shredded. Then we had a plain white shirt, and black studded tights with adage. We pulled on our Varsity Dance jackets and then we all started walking around the school while the game started up.
I saw Karla do her solo, and then she changed into her jazz before she joined us in walking around.
Right before half time, we all went into the gym and waited for our turn to dance. We all knelt down in our beginning positions and we waited for the music. Then we all slowly stood up and strutted forward all kicking our legs up and holding them.
We turned around and did switch leaps backwards, and then one by one, down a single line, we all turned and made dramatic hand motions before we went into fouette's. We did six into a triple, and then six into another triple. We ended that with different complicated jumps, and then our ending poses for the dance were all sprawled on the floor. We got up and I ran to the dressing room and changed into my contemporary costume.
It was a short black dress with fiery red strips in it. My hair was in a twist in the back of my head, and I had dark eyeliner and mascara, and bright red and brown eyeshadow.
My song was, "Seet Fire to the Rain," by Adele. I love the song, it's so good to let my emotions out into.
When I stepped onstage, I took a deep breath before getting into my beginning positions. And for the next three minutes, I danced my heart out.
When I was in the ending pose, it was my right leg up in the air and I was looking at the ceiling.
The audience burst into applause and I grinned. Man, did I love this!
