She pulled my hand and let go of it when we reached the table.
"Hey, Delilah, can Mia join us? Just for now." Julie pleaded.
I looked at the girl who's smiling at me. Her smile looked sincere, but to me she looked like joker.
"Please." Julie pouted. "Her best friend is absent."
'So what?! Go and steal mine?!'
I looked at 'Mia' once again. I plastered a fake smile.
"Sure, why not?" I said happily.
We ate our lunch.
"So, Delilah, what did the principal say?" Julie asked.
"Well, she told me that I'll help the new student catch up with our lessons." I answered.
"The new student?!" Mia exclaimed
'Keep it down, witch.'
"He's frickin' hot!" she continued.
I rolled my eyes. "I don't care, as long as there is an extra grade."
"Shut up, Delilah." Julie snapped. She turned to Mia. "How'd you know?" she asked excitedly.
Mia shrugged. "I saw him last week. Did you see the guy wearing a blue varsity jacket?"
Julie nodded eagerly.
"It's him!" Mia said.
"OMG!" Julie squealed. "Delilah, you.are.so.lucky."
I shrugged and continued eating.
I got irritated the whole time. She's so annoying! Everytime I talk to Julie, that stupid girl seems to get her attention, making me out of place.
After a few minutes, the two noticed I was quiet.
"Hi... Uhmm... Aaliyah, right?" Mia asked.
"It's Delilah." I corrected.
'Come on! It's not that hard memorize! Unless she's dumb.'
She smiled sheepishly. "I'm sorry. Um... Where do you live?"
"Earth." I answered briefly.
She chuckled. "You're funny."
Yeah, yeah.
She recovered from the joke and continued. "I mean address."
'Wow! So now you're stalking me?!'
I shrugged. "I'm not gonna say may whole address but I live in Margie Estate."
She nodded meaningfully. "What are your hobbies?" she asked.
'Is this some kind of an interrogation?!'
Even though I'm annoyed, I answered politely. "I read pocket books. Sometimes I do swimming. You?"
She smiled. "Malling with friends, shopping..." she trailed.
'And drooling over hot boys?'
Finally, lunch was over and I seperated ways with them telling them I need to study. But of course, I told Mia it's nice meeting her.
I was walking in the corridor.
Suddenly, a cheerleader bumped at me, making my stuff fall. Also my glasses.
I prepared myself thinking that she'll shout at me for blocking her way.
Instead...
"Hey, miss... Look I didn't mean to. I swear, I'm sorry." she said guiltily.
I am surprised.
"It's okay." I smiled picking my stuff. She helped me in doing so.
"Here's your glasses." she said.
"Thanks. These are really important." I smiled.
"You should really wear contacts." she suggested.
I shook my head. "Nah, they're hard to put on."
She nodded her head. "Okay."
The cheerleader apologized once again and went to her friends.
I really thought cheerleadees are too pretty to say sorry.
I shook off my thoughts and went to my next class.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The bell for the last class rung and everyone went out.
I said good bye to Julie and went out of the school where the driver is waiting.
As I reached home, I quickly went to my room and changed my clothes. I proceeded to my English homework.
While I'm doing my Math homework, I heard a car honking. The maids opened the gate and I went down.
"Hey mom, hey dad." I greeted and kissed their cheek.
"Hi darling." mom said.
We went to the dining room.
"How's your day?" dad asked.
I shrugged. "It's good. We had a quiz in English and I got a perfect score."
"Very good. Keep it up." dad said emotionless.
Me and my mom chatted about random things, while dad remained silent.
After dinner, we went to our rooms and minded our own businesses.
Ate Maia, one of the maids delivered my milk, and I drank it.
After finishing my homework, I went to bed at approximately eight thirty.
