Code Lyoko: X.A.N.A Returns (Part 1)

Activated Tower

"Oh come on! Don't drag Kiwi into this, he's an innocent dog! I will change my shirt...Later." Odd managed to somehow speak with a huge croissant occupying 3/4 of his mouth.

"Odd. Don't talk with your mouth full." Aelita snapped.

"Yes ma'am!" Odd saluted.

A smile crept onto Jenny's lips as she watched how everyone interacted with each other. She was happy and relieved that everyone was nice.

"Hey guys!" Yumi greeted everyone.

Instead of the usual four people that she always sees, she finds a fifth with striking white hair catching her eye.

"And who's this?"

Jenny quickly swallowed her food and stood up to introduce herself, "Hello! I'm Jenny. Nice to meet you. Erm, your friends invited me to eat lunch with them... I hope you won't mind."

"Oh hi Jenny! I'm Yumi. It's okay if you're joining us. The more the merrier." Yumi shot a warm smile to Jenny.

Everyone resumed eating.

All was peaceful until Sissi opened her mouth.

"Hey Ulrich sweet heart..." Sissi started to flirt with Ulrich and did this hair twirling habit that Ulrich hates.

Yumi started to gripped tightly onto her glass of water.

"I'm not your sweet heart Sissi." Ulrich said coldly.

"Trying to act all cool in front of Yumi huh?" Sissi smirked.

*Beep*

"Huh?" Jeremy took out his phone and saw something he would never expect to see in his life, ever.

It was a symbol of X.A.N.A.

"What?!" Jeremy shouted, catching the gang's and Jenny's attention.

"What is it Jeremy?" Aelita asked.

"Oh a text. Here, look at it." Jeremy passed his phone onto Aelita's hands.
Aelita's reaction was a replica of Jeremy's as her eyes laid on the familiar symbol.

"It can't be..." Aelita shook her head.

"You saw the same thing?" Jeremy asked.

"Yeah. We need to head to the factory Jeremy. No time to waste. It could be an attack."

"Aelita, I don't think we need to make a big fuss over this. It could be an electricity shock from my phone or something."

"Please. This could be serious."

Jeremy leaned back into his chair, debating with himself if he should go or not.

"Why are you hesitating? You weren't like this before."

Jeremy looked at Aelita's sad eyes and his eyebrows furrowed.

He was having a hard time deciding.

"Come on Jeremy." Aelita continued, "What if this is really an attack? Won't we regret it if we chose to ignore it?"

Jeremy gave it a long thought. Which was unnecessary because ultimately in the end, he'll always choose to go to the factory.

"Okay. Fine. But first we need Jenny to leave." He said.

"I got it. I'll tell Odd to bring her around the school while we go check things out in Lyoko."

"Good."

Aelita turned to face the others and to her surprise, everyone was already looking at her.

"So? What happened?" Odd asked.

"Oh, just a stupid spam text. No biggie. Erm Odd, I need to ask you something. Let's go outside for a minute." Aileta left the cafeteria with Odd tagging along behind.

"What was that all about?" Jenny asked as her suspicion rose.

"It's nothing. It's a terrible secret of Odd and I don't think he wants everyone else to know about it. Don't worry." Jeremy lied.

"Oh okay." Jenny nodded.

"Ahem! I'm still here!" Sissi said impatiently.

"Oh! So you're the one that's been making all those annoying noises. I thought it was a pig but turns out it's just you." Yumi's words sparked fits of laughter to break out among the group.

Sissi's eyes enlarged with rage and she stormed off to the table where her two 'sidekicks', Herb and Nicholas were.

Everyone didn't stop laughing until Aelita and Odd came back.

"Hey Jenny! Let's start the tour now!" Odd pulled Jenny away from the table without giving her a chance to speak.

"Mind explaining Einstein?" Ulrich asked.

"X.A.N.A. Let's go to the factory now." Jeremy stood up and ran towards the factory.

Aelita, Ulrich and Yumi followed suit.

Sissi, who's still annoyed by the humiliation earlier saw the gang leaving in a hurry. Her curiosity piqued and so she decided to follow them, leaving Herb and Nicholas behind.
