~Chapter 13~

Odd brushed dust off his clothes, standing in the middle of the room.

"Dammit! I opened a wrong portal." Jenny scolded herself.

"Eh it's fine, just open another one then." Odd assured her.

Jenny nodded, took a deep breath and forced open another portal.

"I can tell that this is never going to cease to amaze me." Odd mumbled to himself after seeing a portal flashed in front of his eyes.

"Okay, we're going to the core of Lyoko. You ready? I'm not exactly sur-" Jenny was cut off by Jeremy as he spoke through the mic.

"Hey guys. Ulrich and Yumi are going in." He quickly said as the sound of keyboards being pressed down could be heard.

"You finally decided to not be a wuss anymore?" Jenny folded her arms.

"Wuss? What wuss? Look I didn-"

"Okay let's all just do this without any arguments. That cool with the both of you?" Odd asked looking at Jenny.

Well he can't look at Jeremy because he wasn't there so the only person he could look at is: Jenny.

Jenny nodded, while Jeremy sighed.

Odd took the sighing as a sign of agreement.

After a few minutes, Yumi and Ulrich appeared in front of Jenny and Odd.

"Hey!" Jenny greeted, "This way guys!"

"You opened a portal again?" Ulrich just stared at the portal, mouth hanging open.

"Yup." Jenny said, popping the 'p' at end.

Without another word, the gang entered the portal.

At the other side, Jeremy could see everything. From the portal, to the new room they found. He absorbed every single word that was said by Jenny and was quite astounded.

How can Jenny access to everything when she didn't knew of Lyoko's existence before? Just who is she?

"Look, maybe something in that core will tell us about Aelita." Jenny said as she walked towards the cube.

"How do you know?" Ulrich asked, arching his eyebrow.

"My gut." She replied and did her thing with the cube.

The gang looked around the now spread out cube for some clues on Aelita.

"Are you sure there's something here that could help us?" Odd asked.

Yumi shushed him. As all girls know, their gut feelings are pretty accurate.

Jenny nodded furiously and within ten seconds after that question was asked, Yumi found something.

"Here!" She shouted, everyone immediately rushed towards her.

Jenny studied the weird red spiral closely and extracted it out.

"It has Aelita's DNA in it. See the pink thread amongst all the other ones? That's her DNA. I think XANA's controlling her." Jenny said as she spread the spiral out.

"Then what should we do?" Yumi asked, stepping forward to take a closer look at the spiral.

Jenny thought for awhile and then shrugged her shoulders.

"I don't know."

"Huh?"

"If I don't do this carefully, I might accidentally re-program Aelita's character here on Lyoko and never be able to change it back. Plus, one mistake would cost her life." Jenny said, not feeling that confident in herself on whether or not she could save Aelita.
