Hacked - Part 2

"We need to leave, NOW!" Jenny stood up, ready to make a run for it.

The gang was interrupted by a burst of light that came from above them.

"What the...?" Ulrich looked up, squinting his eyes from the bright light.

"It's XANA! XANA used this to trick us! It isn't an ordinary hack. XANA didn't have full control of Lyoko. How could I had been so stupid?" Jenny blamed herself as everyone got ready to take the mob down.

The gang split up, each person in a corner of the room.

Odd was ready with his laser arrows, Yumi ready with her fans, Ulrich with his sword and Jenny, well...

"Guys! I need to tell you something!" She shouted.

"Later! We need to take that down first!" Yumi replied.

"I don't have a weapon!" As soon as those words escaped Jenny's mouth, a flying blue jellyfish with electric tentacles that had a glowing red eye on its head flew straight towards her.

It reached out to grab her, but Jenny made a swift kick into its' eye and ran behind Yumi.

Yumi threw her fans directly towards the electric jellyfish's tentacles and managed to slice some off.

"Jenny! The core!" Odd shouted and Jenny turned around.

Mantas surrounded the core and started shooting it.

"Ulrich, you're the nearest! Distract those mantas for me!"

Ulrich nodded and did a cart wheel over to the mantas, catching one by surprise, he managed to kill one. The other mantas then shifted their attention to Ulrich and starting shooting at him.

Jenny ran towards the core and destroyed the hack in the speed of light.

As she closed the cube, Aelita called out to her.

"Aelita?" Jenny asked, looking at the strange girl that had a glowing pink ball
in her hand.

Aelita did not reply, instead she aimed her deep pink coloured orbs at Jenny. Jenny's eyes widened and she had her hands in front of her as a form of self-defense. It was very clear at that point on who's on the losing side.

"Aelita, it's me, Jenny." She said cautiously, keep her eye on the Aelita's hand. I know it isn't you doing this, just snap out of it and everything's fine."

"Go. Away." Aelita said in a robotic voice.

"Aelita!"

Jenny screamed her name and the orb shot pass her face.

Odd turned around as soon as he heard Jenny's voice and he made a run for her, stood in front of her and aimed his arrows at Aelita.

"Wake up Aelita! I know it's XANA. I don't want to hurt you." He tried to get Aelita to come back.

Aelita didn't move, didn't react, didn't reply. All she did was just readying to shoot again at whoever that stands in her way.

She released her shot, Odd couldn't escape. He shut his eyes and prepared himself to die.

An explosion caused everything and everyone to stop whatever they were doing, it was as if time froze at that one moment.
