"Come on, Si. I'm sure it wasn't that bad"
"It was, but she had no right to say what she said" I explained to Drew as we walked hand in hand out of Starbucks and toward the park
"She's young, she doesn't know any better"
Rolling my eyes, I took another sip of my Berry Sangria "I swear between you and my parents I don't know who spoils her the most"
"She's not spoiled, we just give her what she asks for"
"Thank you for making my point valid" I sat down on the bench leaning into him
"Anyway, what's your schedule for tomorrow"
"Class, you?"
"Same"
"Really? I completely forgot, I was hoping you didn't. I need someone to watch Syrai"
"What about your parents?"
"They're in Barbados for their anniversary"
"Damn"
"I'll figure something out"
"Or I'll just miss class for a day"
"You will not"
"Baby, just let me help"
"You help a lot and it's greatly appreciated, but I will not have you missing a full day of classes. I'll find a way babe, I promise"
"You sure?"
"I'm positive" I said kissing his cheek then his lips
"Well would you look at what we have here"
Turning forward, I looked up to see Ebony standing there with two other girls behind her
"The hell do you want, Ebony?"
"Oh, I don't want anything. Just saw you over here and thought I'd come by and say hello"
"Well goodbye"
"Oh come on, Drew Drew, you don't have to front for your girl"
"I'm not his "girl" I'm his woman" I interrupted
"Ooh, y'all hear that? His woman" She said talking to her friends
Chuckling, I just took a sip of my drink.
"Something funny?" She stepped closer to me
See, we may know each other but she don't know me, y'all. I'll come right up out these heels.
"You" I replied smirking
"Me?"
"Yeah, you. You know exactly why you came over here. To act like a child and start some mess, but let me tell you right now; I am not nor will I ever be the one to try"
"Are you threatening me?"
"Take it how you want. I don't know who you're trying to impress, but you need to not ever in your life press me" I said clear so she would understand "Now if you'll excuse us, we're going to finish enjoying our day while you go be miserable somewhere else. Be gone"
I smiled politely while shoo'ing them away. As they walked away, I rolled my eyes and shook my head.
"I like the way you handled that, that's how I like my women. Classy"
"Really? You got a bad way of picking em" I pointed to Ebony
"That was a mistake, I love what's sitting right next to me"
"You're just a cute one aren't you"
"Well you know me" He popped his imaginary collar laughing
"No" I straight faced him and then laughed at his reaction
"Haha, you're just a regular ole Martin Lawrence aren't you?"
"You big mad or little mad?"
"Man whatever"
"Oh, come on baby. Alright, I'm finished" I said in a baby's voice
"You lucky I love you"
"Yes, I'm a very lucky woman"
"Glad you know, now kiss me woman" He leaned toward my lips, but before he could I shifted my face to the side
"Wzup! Wzup! WZUP!" I mimicked Martin only for him to get up and walk toward the car making me laugh hysterically.
After a while, I finally stopped and caught my breath. I grabbed my things and got into the car off to our next destination.
