Making the final point, I took a seat on the bench wiping the sweat from my face.

"Man y'all cheated"

"Now how is it that every time you lose, we cheated"

"Foreal. Just face it, ya game weak bruh"

"Man whatever, y'all game is weak"

"Aye man, how's it going with Sienna?"

"Great, man." I decided to keep it short. Even though these guys were my friends, my relationship business wasn't any of theirs.

"Look him all cheesing and shit"

"Aye, when y'all stop messing around with these no good females out here then you'll understand the feeling"

"Not me" Jason said "I can't be tied down to just one woman"

"Yo ass gon catch something" Andre said

"I stay strapped"

"Sure"

"What? I do"

"He must've forgot about Sabrina and that pregnancy scare. Strapped my ass"

"Why y'all gotta bring up old shit?"

"That was three months ago" I said making both Andre and I laugh

"Aye y'all look who walking over here"

Turning around, I saw someone who I honestly didn't feel like seeing at this very moment or ever for that matter.

"Hey y'all" She came over to where we were and everyone spoke to her except for me "Guess you don't know anybody no more huh, Drew?"

I stayed silent.

"What you doing over here?" Andre asked

"Oh I was just bout to go see somebody"

Going to sleep with somebody.

"I'll see y'all later" I said dapping up the boys

"Where you going man? Wifey called?"

"Nope, but her class is almost over so I'm gon go get her"

"So you got a new girl?" I looked at Ebony annoyed

"Nah, I got a woman" I said grabbing my bag. Walking away, I walked the journey to my car and heard that same voice calling behind me

"Drew wait up!" She called out but I continued walking, however she ended up in front of me

"What!"

"Can you give me a ride?"

"Man hell no"

My mama always taught me to be respectful of women, however this wasn't a woman and in this instant I didn't care how I spoke to her.

Unlocking my car, I placed my bag in the back and she stood there watching me. Laughing to myself, I got in the car and pulled off almost immediately

"Hey baby, how was your day?"

"It was good, I actually enjoyed my class today" I grabbed her bag and opened the door for her

"That's a first, that never happens"

"I know, surprised me too" She said getting in the car. After putting her bag with mine, I got in and drove off

"Did you eat today?"

"No, can we stop somewhere?"

"Alright"

"How was your day?"

"Good until Ebony showed up"

"What did she want?"

"To annoy me and ask a million questions. I just ignored her"

"What'd she say to annoy you?"

"Just the typical 'you not gon speak' stuff and when I told the guys I was leaving she gon say 'you got a new girl' like I wasn't supposed to move on. I told her I got a woman and walked away"

"I'm glad you walked away, don't let her get to you"

"She had the nerve to ask me for a ride"

"That girl is something else"

"Tell me about it" I said pulling into the parking lot of Olive Garden. Opening Si's door, she grabbed my hand stepping out and fixing her skirt.

"Table for two" I told the hostess

"Okay, right this way please" She directed us toward the back "Here you are, your waiter will be right with you"

Pulling out her chair, she sat down and I did the same.

"Babe, um, we have to talk about something"

"What's up?"

"Well, the results of the test came back and of course we already knew he was the father" She sighed "I've decided to give him a chance to be there for her"

"That's good baby, I'm happy for you"

"You are?"

"Shouldn't I be? I mean I know you can't stand him, but you're being the bigger person and I think it's a great thing. Rai knows me but I'm not the father. I think a father should always have a relationship with their kids. If he's grown enough to lay with you he's grown enough to man up to his responsibilities. I'll always be there for her mine or not, but I think you're doing the right thing"

"You are too good to me"

"You deserve it"

Our waiter came to take our orders and we enjoyed the rest of our day together.
