*It's 7 days till Christmas Eve and Lucas and Zay are at Chubie's*
Lucas and Zay sit down at a table. Zay notices something is bothering Lucas.
"You ok dude?" Zay asks
"Yeah." Lucas says looking down at his hands
"No you're not I can tell."
"How?" Lucas asked a little irated
"You're bad liar." Zay replies
Lucas looks at Zay with a heavy look on his face.
"Oh wow this is serious. What is it?" Zay said
"I made a mistake." Lucas said
"Lucas what did you do?"
"I picked Riley"
"And?"
"And I should have picked Maya, because I think I'm in love with her"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Love? Maya? Wow this is serious."
" I know"
"What are you going to do?"
"I got a plane ticket to New York in few days"
"Hold up, do you really think your parents are going to let you get on a plane, fly half way across the country, during winter break just to tell a girl you like her?"
"No that's where you come in."
"Oh no" Zay said putting his head in his hands
"All I need you to do is say I'm spending the night at your house, then I'll call them Christmas morning and tell them one of our friends had an emergency and I need to get to New York so I took a plane, or I'll tell them the truth before I leave. I know it's flawed and I'll probably get grounded but I have to do it."
"Ok. Hey what made you realize that it was Maya you wanted?"
"You know the secret Santa thing we all did?"
"Yeah."
"Well Maya got my name and she gave me a little bull that looks like tombstone."
"That's it?"
"Yeah that's all it took for me to see that it was Maya that I should have picked."
