"Come on, let's head inside." Tar said, grabbing my arm and pulling me inside the pizzeria towards our table.
Tar and I took our seats, I made sure to sit away from Keith and Addie, because this was a bit awkward for me.
I have never felt nervous or awkward around anyone but Keith, and there he is, loving Addie and calling her his girl.
I liked Keith a lot, but not enough to do something about it. Besides, anything I would do would turn out badly. Just like that egg I tried to fry earlier during breakfast.
Man, I hate this. How was I supposed to act normal?
The waiter came up to our table and took our order, all of us chose the pepperoni pizza. Actually, Addie chose the pepperoni pizza and everyone else agreed.
I wanted the cheese pizza, but does anyone want to listen to me? No.
Suddenly Addie stood up an announced, "I'll be right back."
She didn't stutter. Realization slapped me across the face.
Aw man, I seriously have to talk with her.
Keith took her hand and kissed it, "I'll be waiting."
She giggled and flipped her hair over her shoulder, walking off towards the girl's room. I narrowed my eyes.
I was going to follow her.
I stood up as well, "I need to use the girl's room, I'll be back in a jiffy."
Everyone grunted some reply and I rolled my eyes at them before heading towards the bathroom. So, when I'm leaving I don't get some kiss on the hand, just a noise that was meant to be a reply.
I pushed the bathroom door open and saw Addie standing in front of the mirror and fixing herself.
I went up to her and said, "I need answers, now."
She turned to look at me, placing her hands on her waist, "What?"
This was a harsh question, but I needed to know.
I took a deep breath, "Addie, do you have a speech impediment?"
Her eyes widened, and she visibly gulped, "Wh-What are y-you talking a-about?"
That answered it. Now, all she was going to do was decline all this. But I had my answer.
I shook my head, "Never mind," I headed towards the bathroom door, "I won't tell."
With that, I left Addie in the bathroom, gaping at me.
I felt like James Bond, really.
I walked back to the booth and took my seat, the pizza was already served and half gone. I rolled my eyes at this, the gang couldn't even wait.
I took a slice of pizza and started eating it. Still thinking about my unfinished business with Addie.
She was hiding secrets, and for one reason or another, my gut told me that she was going to hurt Keith.
Not on my watch.
---
I kicked a pebble as I made my way towards my house, biker-dude was walking aside me and for the first time ever, I actually didn't feel like annoying him.
I had a lot on my mind. Keith was dating Addie, I was completely crushed and my thoughts were all over the place.
But the thing was that we were walking silently.
The world's most unbelievable phenomenon.
The dinner was nearly torturous, but I knew that if I bailed on the hangout, everyone would get suspicious and they would eventually find out what I was trying to hide.
And I couldn't let that happen. My secret must remain buried deep in the Atlantic Ocean. Or maybe under a pyramid.
Whoa, where did all this geography come from?
I sighed and then felt a hand grab my arm and turned me around, I looked up in confusion only to see biker-dude glaring at me.
