When I wake up at half past eight in the evening, I'm mortified I've slept almost another ten hours. I feel sick with myself. I should have visited Athenadora and Sulpicia or tried being nicer to Marcus. What's wrong with me? I'm done with being an asshole. Walking into Marcus's office room, he's not there, and it saddens me that I've not even been able to speak to him after being such a jerk. I plonk myself into his chair, resting my head on his desk. Then I notice the note.

To my annoying, disrespectful Lee,
Come to the living room when you've woken up. It's next to the music room. I have a surprise for you.
Love Jamie Oliver (aka Marcus)

My heart lifts and I feel considerably better. He even remembered the nickname I gave him. He'll be forever Jamie Oliver according to me. I jump up quickly and notice my clothes are rumpled from sleeping in them. I'm sure Marcus won't mind. I wander off down the corridors, trying to remember where the music room is. It doesn't take long before I find it. There's only one other door next to it, which must be the living room. I open it cautiously and walk in.

The lights are off, but there are two lamps on. There's an open fire and a stone fireplace. Two red leather sofas in the middle of the room, facing a huge flat screen TV sitting on a polished glass stand. Marcus is kneeling in front of it, trying to figure something out. "Hey,"
He jumps in surprise and almost drops the remote. "You're so quiet," He smiles.

"Can you help me?" He asks, holding up the remote. I roll my eyes and walk over, taking it from him. I press the on button and sit on one of the sofas. He sits beside me. "I thought we could have a film night together?" He suggests.

"And I've brought this," He pulls out one of my tubs of Ben N Jerry's. Cookie Dough, my favourite.
"This is great, thanks." I pull back the lid and eat a spoonful. "Does this TV have netflix?" I scroll through the TV's features and channels. "What's Netflix?" He asks.

I turn and smile at him. "It's a....um...software where you can watch all sorts of films." I summarise. "Oh. It sounds good." He smiles. "What film are we watching?" He asks. I search through Netflix, looking for good films. "How about Hunger Games?" I suggest. "What's that?" He asks. "It's a little hard to explain, but let's just say, you're about to enter another world." I click the PLAY button, snuggling up to Marcus and eating my ice cream.

Halfway through, Marcus speaks for the first time since I've hit play. "So where is the rest of the world?" He asks. "Is there just Panem?"
"Uh, yeah, just the twelve districts. And thirteen was destroyed." I explain. He nods. "I have to tell you, just because I'm tall, it doesn't mean I'm a big size in condoms." He smiles.
"Ok, that was random," I finish my ice cream. "Well I had to tell you." He kisses my head. We watch the rest of the film in comfortable silence, cuddling on the sofa.

Once the film has ended, we lay on the sofa, looking at the ceiling. My stomach aches from eating a full tub of ice cream, but other than that, it's been a good night. I snuggle close to him, staring intently at him. He leans in, I lean in, then we kiss once again, he sends my body into some sort of electrical spasm.

Then before I know it, we're in his bedroom, ripping each other's clothes off, while I place desperate kisses along his jaw. He growls softly, kissing my hair and running his fingers through it. Everything feels great until he starts to take my pants off, then I get a throbbing feeling in my chest. "No! Stop! I can't do it!" I pull away from him and throw myself off his bed where I fall onto the floor, winded. "Oh, Lee, it's alright. Ssh, it's ok." He holds me to his chest, stroking my hair.

"I couldn't do it. I don't know why," I whimper. "It's ok, darling. You're alright." He keeps kissing me. "I was too scared. I just couldn't do it." I close my eyes, to stop the tears. "It's fine, sweetheart. You're fine. You've been through a lot of emotions the last few days." He says gently. I cuddle into him.

"How about we watch another film? Maybe you'd like to do some drawing?" He suggests. I shake my head. He kisses it again. "Lay down with me, then." He murmurs.
"I think I'd like to see the wives," I go to his door. "Lee?" He asks. I turn back to him. "I'm ready whenever you are." He says. "I'd wait forever for you." He promises.
I nod, choked with emotion, then hastily leave for the tower.

Inside, Sulpicia is nowhere to be seen. Just Caius and Athenadora are there, together on the couch deep in discussion. They to turn to smile at me, but stop as soon as they see my face. "Oh no, Lee. Has something happened?" Athenadora comes to my side. I shake my head, too embarrassed to say anything.

"Well," She strokes my cheek. "We have just the thing to cheer you up.  Caius and I are very fond of you. Now Didyme's murderer has been killed, I can leave the tower more frequently, I can have more of a life." She smiles to herself. "Well that's great." I shrug. She holds up a hand. "There's more. We have never had any children of our own, although we've always hoped for them. That's where you come in." She says.

"What, you want me to take another kid from the children's home so you can adopt them?" I ask. "I'm not a social worker!" I flip out. Caius smiles, looking amused. "Oh Lee, don't you understand?" He says. "We want to adopt you,"
