Chapter 7- The Proposal

The weekend felt like it flew by. I went to the beach with some friends and took pictures. I love the beach because the atmosphere is very therapeutic and relaxing. But now its Monday. *sigh* Overall, I'd say Mondays aren't as bad as people say, but I hate it just because that day likes to pop up out of now where and kill your weekend. While I was at work, Brent texted me <" I got a surprise for you later. Dress up!'>

Yay! I can't wait. When I got home, I picked out a shiny strapless black dress that fit just above the knee along with a white sweater since nighttime can be chilly. I had Elowyn help me put my hair up in a bun. For some reason, I can't keep a bun up for the life of me. Brent came and picked me up. During the car ride I asked, "Where are we going?"
"You'll see."
Darn it. I hate being left in suspense. About 15 minutes later, we park next to a building that reads "Cheesecake Factory". Yes! I absolutely love this place! It's been a few years since I've been here. Brent orders a steak and I get a Mac n' cheese burger. Don't judge me. Its amazing and I haven't found it anywhere else. Plus, I'm not your usual prissy girl. I've always been on the Tom-boy side. After we finish our meals, Brent reaches over to hold my hand and says, "Your an amazing girl, Kendra. Even though we've had troubles, we always manage to work them out. I love you and I can't see myself living without you." Then he pulls out and opens a small velvet covered box with a ring it. "Will you marry me?"
My mind started racing with mixed emotions. I'm so torn. I feel like I'm falling in love with Robert. But what if it's just in my head? Apparently, this is the push I needed to make up my mind.
