You will be paired with one other person and you will agree to read 3-5 chapters of each others book.
First you must follow each other :)
Then on each chapter you must leave a comment on the following.
A critique, some things to critique on is:
-Plot
-Character Development
-Setting
-Originality
-Interest
-Description
-Flow
If you see typos, spelling/grammar, mistakes, awkward sentences, or poor word choice, mention it so they can go back and edit!
It doesn't hurt to leave suggestions on anything, like ideas for plot, rewording of a sentence/paragraph, or unnecessary details.
You need to always leave something you liked about the chapter, it's always good to leave off with a positive note.
Then you'll come back to the weekly chapter and comment whatever question of the week AFTER you have completed reading your partners book.
You and your partner will be given one week to read the assigned chapters.
If you do not complete it in that week you will be given a warning with an additional week to complete that week and the current weeks assigned chapters.
If you don't complete it a second time you will be put on probation, meaning:
-No partner for the week
-An outside assignment
-Will never get to be the feature book
A third time and you're out.
We'll do this for three weeks with the same partner, so in that time frame you will need to try and read all of each others book. Then at the end of the three weeks I will announce three Feature Books. That week (the fourth week) we'll take a break and you will take the time to read at least one of the feature books (must read at least two chapters) and leave one simple comment that can be anything, a compliment, critique, suggestion, anything!
Then we'll start again with new partners!
