Chapter 34

I like that I have a window seat in my room

It is like my own space where I can sit and think

I run my hand through my hair as I sit there and think

I love Niall so much

I wonder if he misses the sex we used to have

I feel so bad because he is a male and he does have certain urges

But since I can't feel my bottom half, I wouldn't feel it

I wonder if Niall minds looking after me because I can't walk

Does it bother him?

Am I in his way

Maybe Niall could be with someone better than me

Someone that wouldn't bring him as much trouble as me

I sigh as I let all these thoughts run around my head

"You ok?" I hear a voice ask

I turn my head to see Zayn stood in the door way

I don't say anything, I just turn my head to look out the window like I was before

I hear my door shut and Zayn's feet shuffle against my carpet

He comes and sits facing me on the window seat

Zayn makes sure that he isn't sat on my feet, not that I would feel it

"Emily are you ok?" he asks again

I sigh before answering him

"Am I a burden?" I ask looking at him

He raises an eyebrow at me

"No! Of course your not! Why would you ask that?" he asks

"I just feel like I'm in the way all the time, like you lot are putting everything on hold for me and I don't want to be the one in the way" I explain

"Emily, we are on a break right now anyway so don't worry about pulling us away from anything and your not in the way" Zayn explains

"Literally you are sat in your room alone, I don't think you could be any less in the way" Zayn continues to say with a laugh

I shake my head and look out the window

"Niall can do so much better than me" I mumble with tears forming in my eyes

"Why would you say that? You and Niall are made for each other" he says

"I've caused Niall nothing but trouble, he could do so much better than me" I tell him

"Emily, Niall loves you more than you can imagine" Zayn says

Tears roll down my face as I continue to look out the window

"You, Niall and Amy would make the most perfect family" he says as he puts his hand on my shoulder

More tears roll down my face as Zayn mentions my baby

Amy would be so much better off if she had someone like Reanne as a mum but no, she got stuck with me as her mum

"My baby would be better off with a better mum than me" I mumble

"Oh Emily" Zayn says pulling me into a comforting hug

I continue to cry on his shoulder

He rubs circles in my back soothingly

"Everything will be ok" Zayn says comfortingly

I sigh as he pulls away from me

"Can you pass me that book on the side please" I say pointing to the book that is on my bedside table

Zayn nods as he gets up and grabs the book from my bedside table

He hands it to me

"I'll see you later" he says as he walks out my room with a smile

I open my book on the page that I was reading previously

Reading was something that I liked to do because it was a way of escaping from life

NIALLS POV

I continue to write down the phone numbers of wedding dress shops in the London area that I could send Emily to

The kitchen door opens to reveal Zayn

He runs his hand through his hair

"You ok mate?" I ask as I scroll down through google in my laptop

"I just had a conversation with Emily" he mutters

"Yeah?" I ask looking up

"She's really down" he informs me

I look up at him and raise an eyebrow

"Really?" I ask putting my pen down

"Yeah, she started crying and telling me how she feels like she is in everyone's way and that you deserve better" Zayn tells me

I look at him with wide eyes

That is where it hit me

I am so busy thinking about the wedding that I haven't even proposed for, that I didn't notice that Emily was feel down in herself

I didn't notice that Emily wasn't the normal Emily, she is down and sad

How could I not see that Emily felt like this?

How could I miss it?

How could I make it all better?

A/N: So Emily is questioning if she is good for Niall and Niall hasn't noticed how sad Emily actually is
