Something Niall Didn't Except (Sequel To Something One Direction Didn't Expect)

Chapter 33

EMILYS POV

"Come on baby, one foot at a time" Niall says as he stand the other end of the bars

So Doctor Fie and the specialists said that I could go home

I think they only said yes because I wouldn't stop complaining

I was also annoying everyone else with it

I now have to keep coming back to the hospital for my physio so I can walk again

Everyone is really helping me out, you know taking me places

Niall won't let anyone else but him and Liam carry me up the stairs for some stupid reason

But hey, I love him so I will leave him to it

Amy doesn't understand what's going on and that is the hardest thing for me

She spends a lot of time with Reanne and JJ, which honestly makes me feel like she will grow up thinking Reanne is her mum

My darling daughter doesn't understand that Mummy can't get down on the floor with her and play with her dolls

She also confused about who is her dad

I know that Niall has been in her life for a while now but she still hasn't taken to calling Niall dad which is starting to worry me

Niall is trying so hard to be involved in her life as well as working around my needs as well

Part of me wished, that I had stayed in the hospital so I didn't bother anybody but I wanted to be back home with people I love

I look into Niall's ocean blue eyes as I grab hold of the bars, standing up on my own

I needed to do this, I need to walk again for my family

Niall can't hold touring and recording off forever, it's his job and he has put everything on hold for me

Which I didn't want him to do and I did tell him not to

"You can do it" Niall encourages

I look down at my feet

I needed to find the strength and courage to make my feet and legs work because I have had enough of not being able to move without self

I had been coming to Physio for weeks now and still no joy but I'm determined to move myself

Slowly but surely, I grip the bars that were next to me so I was stable

I move my left leg out in front of me a bit and then I move my right leg to the same position moving forwards slightly

"Baby you did it! You walked!" Niall says getting excited and he comes and lifts me up

He spins me around in his arms

"I love you" he mumbles against my lips

I kiss him back softly and I put my arms around his neck

I pull away

"I love you to" I say

"Sorry to interrupt but Miss Clifford, do you want to carry on with the physio?" one of the specialists ask

I cringe at the name, she called me

I didn't want to be known as Mrs Clifford, clearly Niall noticed this

"I think Emily is quite tired, so we will leave it for today" Niall says as he carries me back to the wheel chair

The specialists remind me of the exercises that I need to do and they wave us goodbye

Niall wheels me out of the hospital and out to the car

He puts me in the car and Niall gets in the other side

He starts the car and drives us home

"Niall" I say looking straight ahead at the road

"Yeah baby?" he asks grabbing my hand and holding it with the hand that wasn't on the steering wheel

"I want to start divorce proceeding with Michael" I say turning my head to look at him

Niall says nothing but he a smile creeps onto his face

"I'll get that sorted" Niall says

I nod knowing that what I had said had made Niall happy

"Niall I love you" I mumble

"I love you more" he says as he carries on driving

I really do love him

NIALLS POV

We get home and I take Emily upstairs for her to take a nap

Once I leave our bedroom, I practically skip down the stairs in happiness

"Niall are you ok?" I hear a voice ask

I turn to see Lou

"I'm fucking perfect" I say with a massive grin on my face

I walk through into the kitchen and grab and apple

I take a big bite out of it

I was really happy because of what Emily had told me

She wants to get a divorce from Michael

This is the best news I have in weeks

"So Louis told me that you had a spring in your step, what's wrong with you?" Liam questions

"Emily told me in the car that she wants to start divorce proceedings with Michael" I say

Liam starts to smile

"So as soon as that is done then, you can get down on one knee" Liam says

I gulp

"What if Michael won't go through the process and what if he won't sign the papers, some people wait like 4 years for the other person to sign it" I say running my hand through my hair

"Niall mate think positively mate, look I have a mate who is a lawyer and I'll ring him now" Liam says before walking out the room

I smile to myself at the thought of Emily walking down the isle again

But somewhere in the back of my mind there was a nagging that Michael will put up a fight...
