Chapter 13

Maya POV

Today was the day that I get to see Lucas for the first time in 3 weeks. My flight was set to arrive in Texas at 2:00. My plan was to surprise him at school.  Lucas asked his Dad to pick me up at the airport. I had talked to his dad Sam a few times over FaceTime so it wasn't going to be awkward meeting up with him.  Sam was a really nice guy and seemed to like me a lot. One of the nice things about it is that I didn't have to go baggage claim to get my bags because I just had one carry on. 

After getting off the plan I checked my text messages. Sam had texted me saying he was there. I made my way out to the front of the airport and spotted him standing in front of the entrance. I walked over to him with a grin on my face.  He was average and built just like Lucas. 

"Hi Maya!" he greeted. "I'm glad you made it here safely." 

"Me too. Thank you for picking me up." I replied. 

"Anytime, kid. You ready to go see my son?" he asked. 

"I'm more than ready." I replied. 

We loaded my things in to the back seat of his car. It didn't take us long to reach the High School. Sam left me off in front of Lucas truck. I knew it wouldn't be long until school let out for the day.  I waited for about 10 minutes until I noticed students starting to make their way out of the school. I was watching for Lucas when I watched him walking out but then he stopped in front of the school. What was he doing? A couple of minutes passed by when a girl walked out. The girl stopped to talk to Lucas and I had jealousy wash over me. Why the hell was he waiting for this girl when he knew I was coming. You'd think he would have left right away after class got out. After about two minutes of them talking I had enough and made my way to him. As he saw me coming a smile spread a cross from his face. 

"Maya?" he said causing the girl to look at me. 

I didn't say anything I walked passed the girl, shoved Lucas forcefully back against the wall and kissed him with more force than I ever had before. I didn't care who the hell was watching. I wanted this girl to know exactly who he was and hoped that she got the hint that he was mine.  I thrust my tongue in his mouth as soon as I was able to access it. I felt Lucas's hands go around my waist pulling me closer. I could tell he was enjoying that kiss. When we finally came up from air he looked at me as the girl just stood there looking on. 

"I've missed you." he smiled before hugging me. 

"I've missed you too." I answered before turning to the girl. "Hi, I'm Maya, Lucas girlfriend and you are?" 

"It's nice to finally meet you Maya! Lucas has told me so much about you." she smiled. "I'm his friend Vanessa." 

"Yeah, that's so nice that Lucas has told you about me because I haven't heard too much about you. It's to meet you." 

"Maya!" Lucas scolded. 

"What?" I answered. 

Lucas gave me a questioning look, "Maya, this is Vanessa, she's Zay's girlfriend." he answered. 

"Ohhh Zay's girlfreind?" I replied. 

"Yes, his girlfriend." he said trying not to laugh. 

"Jealousy is cute on you, Maya but I promise you don't have to worry about me. Lucas was waiting for me because I was giving him money that I owed him." she said with a smile. 

"Oh, I see. Well it really is nice to meet you." I replied. 

Vanessa handed Lucas the money and then we told Vanessa by. I apologized for the way I acted but I knew that Lucas would probably say something when we got to his truck.

"You mind telling me what that was about?" he said as we were on the way home. 

I turned to look at him with a smile. "I got super jealous when I saw you with her. I've missed you and couldn't wait to see you so when I saw you waiting for her instead of coming right to the truck to see me, I got a little jealous." 

Lucas placed his hand on my leg. "Maya you have nothing to worry about. I told you that it's only you. No other girl matters to me." 

"I'm sorry." 

"Don't be it's okay, I understand. How was your flight. I cannot wait to get home and just hold you." he said. 

"My flight was great. I'm glad to be here." I answered. 

It only took about 10 minutes for Lucas and I to reach the Farm. The Farm was so beautiful and the horses were beautiful. His Dad had done the chores for him today so that he could spend time with me. I grabbed my things out of the trunk of his dads car and together we walked up to his room.  After putting my stuff in his room I needed to go to the bathroom and when I got done I went back to Lucas who was still waiting for me on his bed. I crawled up on the bed and made my way up to him. He was laying down and I just wanted to kiss him again. I crawled my way over to him and made my way on top of him. He gave me a look and grinned before putting his hands on my legs. 

"What are you doing?" he asked. 

I leaned into him "This I said with a smile before hovering over him and leaning down closing the gap between our faces. I started kissing him and he kissed me back. After we came up for air I laid beside him he draped his arm over me and pulled me closer to him. I cuddled my face into his neck. 

"I have missed this." I said to him. 

"Me too, so much." he replied. "I can't believe you are actually here." 

"Same. " I said with a smile. 

Lucas brushed his hand along my face and he smiled at me "I can't wait for this to be a permanent thing." 

"I know right? We can cuddle all the time and not have to worry about catching a flight." 

"You're my world, Maya. Nothing or anyone could ever take you away from me. I love you so much." he said before softly kissing me on the lips too. 

"You're my everything, Lucas. I can't imagine my life without you in it. I'm starting to get better. Leaving won't be easy but I know that we will see each other soon enough." I said with a smile. "You know Kenzie and I actually cuddled that night you left to come back here." 

"Mom told me about that. She said that you two were fast asleep on the couch and she didn't want to wake you." 

"She didn't. You know for six your sister is so smart? She told me to believe you because you never break a promise." I said with a smile. 

"Kenzie is right though. I will never break promises." 

Lucas and I continued to cuddle for little awhile longer. It felt so good to be in his arms. again. After awhile we both started getting hungry. We made our way down stairs and decided to make something for dinner. We settled on Spaghetti. I made garlic bread and Salads for all of us. It was s good. Once were done with dinner Lucas took me out to see the horses and show me around the farm. It was so beautiful. Tomorrow we were going to go for a ride on the gator. It was supposed to be hot tomorrow so he wanted to take me to his favorite swimming spot. I was excited and couldn't wait to spend the day with him. I slept in his arms that night and it was the was the best sleep I had got since he left to come back here.
