Megan's P.O.V:

Thomas unlocked the cell and I jumped out. I ran to a table and grabbed my stuff.
I ran out of the slammer.
"Megan? Who let you out!?" Newt was yelling at me and following me.
The glade shook. No. The doors are closing. I was on the other side of the glade. And to make matters worse I had half of the glade on my ass.
I could make it. I can make it. I will... my thoughts were cut short by Minho tackling me to the ground.
"Stop! Megan you'll die out there!"
"Why do you care! I have to be there! They'll kill him! I have to save him!"
I yelled. Then I hit Minho where the sun don't shine causing him to let go.
I scrambled to my feet and ran. I was so close. The doors were 7 feet apart. 6 feet. 5 feet. I'm not going to make it.
The doors shut for the night just as I reached them.
"No!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. I had my hands on the wall. I felt my knees weaken and I slowly dropped to the ground not taking my hands off the wall. I began to cry. Then I sobbed.
"Megan." It was Alby. "Look I'm sorry but we can't have you running out there at night. None of us want to lose you again."
I began to laugh.
"Megan?" Newt asked.
I laughed even harder. I think the glades starting to get to me. Drive me insane.
"You guys don't get it. Do you?" I continued to laugh.
"Get what?"
"You just killed him. Killed me. Probably killed yourselves as well."
"Put her back into the slammer. Keep her fed. Don't nobody let her out you hear me."
I let them drag me away. It's over. I failed. Who knows what horrible things they are doing to him. Brysen was my older brother. And I couldn't save him like he saved me.
I was literally thrown into the cell. Then left alone only with my thoughts. People would stop by frequently. Leaving food and taking the old plate. I couldn't eat. I couldn't sleep. And I didn't want to talk. To anyone. I sat in the corner. Staring at the wall. I refused to do anything.
The cell door opened and Newt jumped in.
"Megan, love, everyone is worried about you. Will you please eat something? Or talk to us?"
Whelp it's now or never.
"How do you do it?"
"Do what love?"
"You all act like nothing happened. Like everything is normal."
"If we focus on the things that went wrong we will never get past it. Instead we learn from these things."
I was about to say something but the greenie alarm went off.
"I'll be back later love." He said kissing me on my temple. Once again I was alone.
I laid down. I am pretty tired what is this day 4 no sleep. I'm shucked. I was met with sleep almost instantly.

"Megan. Megan they are mad. They're coming you need to get out escape now. It will be torture for you. This is Brysen. Remember I will still be alive for you. No matter what they tell you. I love you."

I love you too.

"We should wake her."

"Are you bloody insane? She hasn't slept in days."

"This is important Newt."

"Minho has a point."

I heard the door open.

"Megan. Megan wake up."
I was nudged on the shoulder.
"Newt go get her some food."

I was getting kinda pissed. I just wanted to sleep.
"What do you want?" I asked obviously annoyed.
"There's another message for you."
Alby handed me the note. And I opened it.

Dear Megan,
You have failed. Therefore we must remove you from the trials for our special treatment. Brysen will undergo treatment as well. Please be at the box in 4 hours with anything you wish to keep. Thank you.
