It started out as a desperate attempt to rid yourself of the one thing most teenagers desired to rid themselves of: your virginity. Luckily, you weren't the only innocent teenager trying to 'fit in' with all the rest. Your best friend, Liam, turned to you a few months after practically everyone in your class had, "done the deed." That's when the arrangement started. At first, it'd only be for the one night, just to say that it had happened. It started to become much more after that one night, and soon enough, it was a weekly, almost daily, occurrence.

For Liam, however, your activities were starting to become a lot more than just random hookups. He found himself wanting to stay the night afterwards, wanting to talk, wanting to stay with you as long as he possibly could and stare into your wonderfully bright eyes that he hoped would one day look back at him with the same love and affection with which he looked at you. He just wasn't sure if you could say the same.

You called him over to your house at around seven o'clock, and he showed up almost ten minutes later, eager just to spend some time with you; even if it wasn't exactly the way he wanted. He climbed through your window, like he always did, and you had him backed up against the wall in under a second, your lips attaching to his instinctively and hungrily. He pulled away slightly, leaving you breathless and slightly irritated.

"What's wrong?" He asked, searching your face. You looked away, down at the floor, avoiding his gaze at all costs. For some reason, Liam could read you like an open book, always knowing when something was off. "You don't usually start...like that," he finished shyly, letting his fingers slide over the top of your hand, soft as ever.

"Bad day," you shrugged. "If you're not up to it tonight, it's fine, Li. I just needed to release some built up anger, which is what we use each other for, right?" You didn't mean for it to come out so harsh, because if you were being honest with yourself, you really liked Liam, and talking to him, and being around him in general. His face, a hurt expression flickering across his face before he quickly recovered, though his eyes looked everywhere around the room except at you.

"Y-yeah...I guess..." he mumbled, offended. That was all he was to you, then. Great, he had gotten his answer. "Do you want to talk about it?" You smiled at him, placing your hands around his neck, causing a small smile to appear on his face as well. He preferred it more when you were gentle about things, though sometimes he quite liked it when you took control.

"You're sweet, Liam." When you kissed him this time, leaning up a little, it was slower, more sensual. He kept one of his hands locked on your hip, the other trailing up and down your back, indecisive about whether or not he should just keep his hands in your hair, or hold your waist, or cup your cheek.

He kissed back with more fervor then necessary, pouring every single emotion he was feeling into this one kiss, hoping you caught on. You moaned softly into the kiss, your hands tugging at his hair, causing his lips to part and his eyes to open.

He removed his lips from yours, trailing open-mouthed kisses down your cheek, right near your ear, all the way to your neck, which he gave the most attention. He smirked slightly when he heard you whine again, tilting your head back to give Liam more access to your skin. He pressed kisses along the side of your neck, occasionally biting or sucking for a moment, making sure to create a few marks here and there. "Shit, Liam," you muttered, your voice shaking slightly as you watched the boy work with half closed eyes, feeling pure bliss in this very moment. He pressed his lips against just the right spot, making you tug on his hair again, eyes fully shut this time. "Liam...shit," you whined as he moved his mouth further along your skin.

He did even more damage to your collarbone, the purple splotches almost covering the right side of your neck and trailing down...down.. down. He pulled away again, admiring the work he had done, and then it was your turn. You lightly pushed him onto your bed, straddling his waist, your kisses becoming more and more urgent, because you were done with the teasing. So was he, apparently, since your shirt and bra were in a pile on the floor in under a second, making you take off his shirt as well.

"Condom?" He murmured against your lips, brushing aside your hair. You reached under your pillow, holding the silver square in front of him. Before he could take it, you pulled your hand away.

"I think I can handle putting it on for you, hm?" You gave him a smirk, carefully tearing the package open as he slipped out of his jeans. And just like that, he was putty in your hands.

He placed his head against your pillow, a soft smile spread across his face as he watched you push all your sweat-stuck hair away from your face, an equally content grin on your lips. The covers were tucked up to your chin, but you were expecting Liam to leave soon. You never had the courage to ask him to stay, fearing the rejection and the end to the happiness he brought you at night, though you craved more than just sex from him nowadays. He rolled onto his side after slipping his pants back on, though he was still shirtless, which you had no complaints about.

"C-can I ask you something?" He suddenly said, biting his lip. You nodded, rolling over to face him completely. He licked his lips before speaking. "What would you say if, hypothetically I asked to stay over?"

Liam braced himself for the rejection, but the words that came out of your mouth were the exact opposite.
"I would say yes, hypothetically. What would you do if I said that I wanted you to stay?"

"I would stay. Tonight. Every night. If you want that, of course," he added, not wanting you to feel pressured into saying yes, and letting him sleep beside you for the night, and hopefully more nights to come. "I-I know this started out as a way for us to just lose our virginities, but I think it's more than that now. For me, anyway. I don't know about how you feel. But, I need to tell you that I like you so much, and I don't want us to be just sex. I want...I want the whole thing."

"The whole thing, huh?"

"Yeah, the whole relationship thing. I want really late night phone calls and I want to actually meet your parents and have them know about me and know that I would never in a million years hurt you. I want you to come to my lacrosse games and cheer for me, and I want to do that thing where I kiss you on the lacrosse field, and I really, really want to go on dates with you and kiss you without it turning into something more than just a kiss, because I like kissing you. A lot. You know what else I want? I want -"

You stopped him, your hand over his mouth as his eyes went wide. You giggled, taking your hand away.

"Liam, you can stop now. I want all of that. And I want it with you. But, what if goes wrong? What if we wind up hating each other? I don't think I'd be able to handle that, Li."

"We won't end up hating each other," he promised.

"I could never hate you. It's impossible. I like you way too much. So, what do you say we try it out? The dating thing? And if we're not into it, well, that's that. We don't have to stop being best friends. You're always gonna be my best friend, whether we're dating or not."

You moved forward, wrapping your arms around his torso, making him smile even wider. "Yeah, let's try it, boyfriend." You were just testing the word out, to see how it would feel on your lips, but it seemed to make Liam even happier than he already was. He pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead, hugging you to his chest.

"Then we're dating, girlfriend."

You had to admit, you loved that word, too.
