Theo held a lot of anger in his heart. A lot of bitterness, a lot of hatefulness. He was cold as the ice that slicked over the ground in wintertime. And because he was this way, he had no problem with hurting people. He could take a human life, he could feel their blood soak his hands, and he would feel no remorse.

He simply did not care about anyone but himself. Until he met you.

You hit him like a whirlwind, knocking him him right off his feet. He hadn't been expecting it, that's why when he hit the ground, he couldn't get back up. He was supposed to win you over, to get into your head and trick you into trusting him. After all, you were Scott's sister. You were his key to getting what he wanted.

But you changed everything. From the moment he met you, you managed to get beneath his skin. He couldn't quite describe it, but you had some type of hold on him. You emitted a strong energy, it seeped into his head and he felt like it was driving him mad.

The two of you instantly hit it off. You were no doubt taken by his handsome features and smooth words. But even more than that, you saw something in him, something that made you want to know him.

What started out as the two of you studying together every Wednesday turned into something more. You developed a strong bond, and Theo began to find himself in a bit of a dilemma. You were clouding his mind, distracting him from what he'd come to Beacon Hills to do.

He was constantly fighting himself, using every ounce of strength he had to suppress the darkness that resided within his heart. He knew that hurting your brother's pack would in turn hurt you. He knew that if he carried through with his plan, he would lose you.

But what he didn't know was that he was going to lose you either way. He didn't know that you were a prime target for the Doctors. He didn't know they'd been analyzing you, monitoring you. He didn't know that he would be driven to his knees, utterly paralyzed by the fact that he wasn't able to save you. He didn't know.

As days went on, and days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, he felt like he was being eaten alive by guilt. You were affecting him more than he cared to admit.
But it was only a matter of time before you picked up on his turmoil. He was under the impression that you didn't notice his emotions. But you did notice. You saw it in his eyes, you heard it in his voice.

Something was not right, and finally, you decided that it was time to question him about it. You took the opportunity one evening when you were sitting with him in the bed of his truck, your head on his lap and his fingers threaded in your hair.

"Hey, Theo?" you softly hummed, turning your head to look up at him. He was pulled out of his deep thoughts, eyes falling to take in your face.

"Hm?"

At his reply, you moved to sit upright, crossing your legs beneath you. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course."

"What's wrong with you? You're just so...off lately. It's starting to worry me."

At this, the blood visibly drained from his face, causing your stomach to twist. You suddenly had a very bad feeling. "Nothing's wrong, I just have a lot on my mind."

You leaned closer, placing your warm palm against his forearm. "You can tell me, you know that right?"

Theo swallowed, letting his eyes flutter shut before looking at you again. "I-I can't...I can't talk about it. Not right now. Just...just give me some time."

Your posture lowered, and though you wanted to press him with more questions, you didn't. "Okay."

He smiled softly, though the smile wasn't all that genuine, and hooked an arm around your waist, pulling you to his side. "It'll all be fine," he hummed, ducking forward to capture your lips in a gentle kiss.
