I chuckled and grabbed a paper towel. I handed it to him and said, "You got some on your nose."

"Oh," He said with a slight chuckle. He grabbed the towel and wiped his nose.

"You know, I think I am going a little crazy to be honest; not saying I'm not crazy already," I said, furrowing my eyebrows then chuckling at my words.

Elijah's confused face spoke, "What do you mean?"

"I'm not going crazy. It's just that--I keep dreaming of past memories," I say, cutting myself off in a neutral tone.

"Well, what memories?" Elijah asks curiously.

I sighed before responding with one word, "Kol."

He nodded his head, "My presence is probably triggering old memories in your head."

"And in mine," A familiar voice said from the doorway.

Basil strolled in and eyed our drinks with glittering eyes, "Ooh, Alexandria, make me one please."

I nod my head and start making him one.

"And you are dreaming about Rebekah," Elijah guessed.

I turn back and see Basil nod his head. I hand him his drink and he takes a sip.

"I am sorry but do not worry. We are going to get them back from Niklaus," Elijah said, courage in his voice.

"I will do everything in my power to help you, Lijah," I said, smiling at him.

I turn to Basil who is staring at the floor.

"I--I am not so sure about this," Basil said hesitantly.

Elijah's full attention is now placed onto Basil, "What do you mean, Basil?"

"I do not know how I feel about this. At first, I was certain I did not love Rebekah anymore but now that there is a chance I will be around her every second-- I just don't know how I feel about her anymore. I need time," Basil said, not looking Elijah or I in the eyes.

My jaw tensed as I asked, "What are you saying, Brother?"

He looked up and his eyes bore into my own as he spoke in a low tone, "I need to figure out my feelings before I can help. I think I need some time alone."

"Say it, Basil. Quit dodging and just say it," I said, my voice getting louder.

"I need to travel by myself and find out what I feel for Rebekah," Basil said, making it final.

My eyes shut, not wanting to see the truth. I let go of a breathe I did not know I was holding as I opened my eyes.

"I will not fight you on your decision but please, come back as soon as you have come to a conclusion," I said, my eyes becoming glossy in tears.

He nodded, "I will."

I placed my drink down and went up to Basil who also placed down his drink on the counter. I was first to wrap my arms around my brother; him following second. I know you are probably thinking, "Wow, these people are wimps. He is just leaving and he'll come back eventually." Yeah, well, my brother and I always stick together and so everything side by side. We have been through everything together.

We pull away and he says, "I am going to go pack."

I nod and turn to Elijah. A tear trickled down my cheek as we locked eyes. I tried for a smile but he could see through it. He stepped forward and hugged me. I hugged him back and more tears came but I refused to sob. We pulled away and I instantly wiped away my tears.
