"Things are a lot different since I left."

Shawn's POV;

The light broke through the curtains and I wish it was still dark. I didn't want to wake up, I just wanted to sleep in my bed a little longer. Being on the road for four days and sleeping in a car hasn't exactly been the most comfortable thing in the world.

I tried to roll on my stomach but felt something on my chest. I opened my eyes a little and tried to adjust to the light. I looked down to see the top of strawberry blonde hair. I then looked around and realized I was in Alex's room. Was I still dreaming?

Memories of last night came flooding to my head. I had came to stop by before going home and found Alex screaming and crying in bed. I have never heard her get like that before, well not since her step dad was here. I got her to wake up and she just shook and cried in my arms. It broke my heart.

Then questions had popped up in my head like, how long has this been going on for? Why did they start happening? Why did I leave? I couldn't help but feel guilty for everything. For leaving and when I got the chance to come back I didn't. I also knew something was wrong, when she called me in the middle of the night. Something just told me to come back to her but my brain knew I had to forget about her.

Now this? If I was someone else I would've beaten myself up for leaving her. I'm such an idiot.

She then stirred and looked up at me, her head still on my chest. Her eyes were still slightly closed and she scrunched her nose a little before smiling.

"Why are you talking to yourself?" She asked with a sleepy voice.

I wish I had a camera to capture this moment, "What?" I asked.

She giggled, "You called yourself an idiot. I mean I don't disagree but you woke me up so you are an idiot." She said before sitting up.

She stretched a little which caused her shirt to rise up. I couldn't help but stare at her, was this what it'd be like waking up to her every morning? We've slept in the same bed before but she always gets up before me so I never see her wake up. She got up and walked over to her bathroom and I seen she was wearing really short shorts.

I realized last night it was dark so I didn't really see what she was wearing. She never expected me either so I'm sure if she knew she wouldn't wear that. Right?

She then walked out and her hair was up in a messy ponytail. She was brushing her teeth and I sat up a little. She gave me a cheesy smile, the one where her eyes are squeezed shut and her nose is scrunched. Except this smile was different, she had a tooth brush in and toothpaste foam around her lips.

I swear if I would've had my camera with me I wouldn't stop taking pictures of her. Even when she's being silly like this, she's still the most beautiful girl. She went over to her sink and rinsed her mouth and put back her toothbrush. How could she be so happy when she was such a mess last night?

She skipped to her closet and looked for something to wear. She then turned around and raised her eyebrows.

"Are you going to take a shower or something?" She asked.

I shook my head, why couldn't I find my words? She just shook her head and turned back around to look at her clothes. She grabbed some clothes and then walked back over to her restroom. She closed the door behind her and I waited to hear the shower start.
