Chapter 11: Mirage Intoxication

"Tayte" He said softly, "I'm not going to let us die" he looked up at me, "I'm not going to let that happen"

"I know you won't. I know baby," I said softly, kissing his forehead. Keane's phone then began ringing, he pulled it out and handed it to me,

"I can't..." He said,

"Hi Noah

Hey Tayte. Keane not there?

He's um...somewhat occupied

What's happened?

Nothing has happened. We are both fine

I don't believe you" I looked a Keane, he held out his hand (a change of heart, or the fact he knew Noah would never stop pushing) and I gave him the phone and adjusted my position so we were both comfortable and he was leaning against me;

"Hi buddy

What's going on?

I'm just a little spooked. I had a nightmare...that was felt so much like real life and...I'm shaken. I'm not going to lie to you. But Tayte is with me and I am going to be okay. I promise you that

Keane...I...I love you

I love you too buddy. I love you so much" He handed me back the phone and then got up,

"Just going to the loo" He told me, I nodded,

"He's gone Noah and I promise, I swear on my life that we will get through this okay

There isn't anybody in this world that I'd want him to be with than you"

"You know I'm here when you want to talk about it baby. I'm not going push you for it, I just want you to know that I'm here for you and I'll always be here for you"

We were led on the bed together, the TV on in the background,

"I know you are and I appreciate it, you don't know how much you mean to me. How much you being by my side gives me the strength to carry on, gives me the strength to keep fighting. You don't realise how much my heart beats for you, you don't realise how your smile sends tingles through my body. You don't understand how the look you give me turns me to jelly, you don't understand how infectious your laugh is, or how it makes me feel that you can read me so well. You honestly do not know how much I love you" he said and I couldn't hold back the tears,

"I do" I told him, "Because everything you've just said to me, is a reflection of my feelings for you," I rolled over and kissed him, "And I do know how much you love me, because it's as much as I love you, and that...is indescribable"

We both decided that it would be best to get out of the hotel room. It wasn't good for us to be cooped up when we had a whole lot of things going on in our heads. The only good thing coming from Keane's minor scare was that I had completely put to the back of my mind that my Mum was 3 months pregnant and moving to Essex to live with Forrest. I still had yet to get my head around that and welcomed the distraction.

The cinema was what we decided on, so we went to the Vue in Piccadilly and as soon as we walked into it, knew what we were going to be watching; Stark Trek Beyond.

We were sat at the back, the theatre was busy, bustling with noise, bustling with joy. I dipped my hand in the popcorn and bumped into Keane's hand,

"Now that was definitely a smile" I said,

"If you're lucky, you'll get another one" He replied winking.
