Star finished lunch early so she could talk to you again. She walked quickly towards her room with the Diaz family glancing at her with confused faces.
"That was... weird." Angie Diaz said. "So, tell me, Marco. What happened in school?"
"Not much. I fought bullies yesterday."
His parents gasped worriedly, but soon changed into heartwarming smiles. "Aw, that's our safe kid! Protecting other kids in danger." Rafael Diaz cooed.
"No! Th-that's not the point. I'm not the safe kid!" Marco was pissed off. "Ugh, I'm going upstairs."
Turns out, Marco didn't really go to his room. In fact, he walked straight to Star's door to eavesdrop a little to your and Star's conversation.
"--do you think it's okay for me to stay there?"
"Of course, (nickname)! The Diaz's are sooo nice! Especially Marco~!" Star excitedly jumped up and down.
Marco heard everything. What? That girl's staying here? I don't even know her!
"Oh, he's your... friend?" You asked, absentmindedly brushing your (color) hair; a current habit of yours.
"Yep! You're gonna meet him when you come here! Oh, my gosh, I'm so excited!"
"Are you sure they're gonna like me? I mean, they wouldn't know since you didn't told them we're you know... related." You said.
Related? How?! Are they cousins? Really close friends? What?
Many questions swirled around Marco's mind and none of them were answered.
Meanwhile your words snapped the 14 year old back into reality. "Okay. See you tomorrow, Star."
"What? Y/N, you forgot the nicknames." She complained.
You sighed. "Fine. Bye, TwinklePrinkleStar." You smiled.
Star grinned. "Haha! Bye, (cool and awesome nickname)! See you tomorrow!" She waved at you, before she forgot something important. "Oh! What about the sisters motto? Ooh, I want to try, I want to try!"
Sisters motto?
You sighed. "Okay..."
"Even though we're far apart, I'll love you with all my heart. We'll always fight monsters together, cool sisters, besties forever!"
You both chorused and laughed afterwards.
Marco smiled at the sight, but he remembered the last sentence.
Cool sisters, besties forever?!
