Wait. She plays football?!

Chapter 18

Infiniti's POV

I wake up to see I'm laying in hospital bed, how the hell did I get here. I try to sit up, groaning from pain. I flop back down. I try again and use the bed to sit up. I hate friggin needles. I have so many needles in me. I don't know what happened. I don't remember anything. I sit here getting frustrated not even remembering my name. When my door opens. In walks 3 guys and a girl, they look a little older than me, but I don't even know how that is. "Iti! Your awake!" The girl squeals rushing over to me and hugging me. I sit there confused, I pat her back. "Um no offense but why are you touching me?" I ask. She pulls back shocked. I glance at the guys they all look shocked. One guy looks like he's hurt too. "babe what's wrong?" The girl pulls back. "What's wrong is complete strangers are in my room." I say. The girl looks like she's going to cry. In walks a doctor. "Oh good your awake" he says. "Um yea." I say. "Can you tell me your name?" He asks. "Ummm" I say thinking really hard. "Damnit I can't remember anything." I say. "That's what I was afraid of." He says writing something down. "It should only last for a short period of time. But you have amnesia." He says. "Oh" I say. "Your name my dear, is Infiniti Jordan" the doctor says. I nod. "Can you tell me why I'm here? Cause I don't do hospitals or hospital gowns." I say. The doctor glances at me. "You and Mr. Grier here were in a really bad car accident." He says motioning to the kid who looks injured. The girl made her way over to one of the other guys and hugs him. "Oh, um I don't remember." I say. "Well I'm going to go tell the others your awake." The doctor says, walking out of the room. I look to the Grier kid. "Umm well are we dating or something? I mean your cute but I don't remember." I say. He looks at me, he's got gorgeous blue eye, I know those blue eyes from somewhere. "No we aren't dating" he says looking down. I glance at the other guy who's not hugging the girl. "Who are you?" I ask. "I'm Jordan, but you usually call me J." He says. This kid is hot too but I'm not attracted to him, what's happening. "Are we dating?" I ask. He burst out laughing. "No, Iti we aren't. I tried to get you to date me for 2 years. You said no way in hell would you date me so, I gave up and now your like a sister" he says laughing. I smile. That seems like something I'd do. "What's y'alls names?" I ask the girl and other guy. "I'm Molly, I'm your best friend" she says tears streaming down her face. "Don't cry, you're really pretty. I'm sure I'll remember something sometime." I say. "I'm Jarrett" the guy says. I nod. "Well it's nice to meet you... Again I guess" I say. "Can I have a minute with the Grier kid?" I ask. They nod and walk out. He walks over to me, tears welling up in his gorgeous blue eyes. "Iti, baby girl I'm so sorry." He says. I remember his voice, I remember it from somewhere. "I know your voice, I remember it." I say. He smiles slightly.  "Will you just talk to me and describe yourself and let me listen?" I ask. "Of course" he says smiling. "Well I'm Benjamen Hayes Grier, but I go by Hayes, you call me golden boy, I'm about 6ft. I'm 16, I'm pretty hot. I've got a couple of broken ribs. I play football with you actually. I'm vine famous. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. I ride dirt bikes. I was in a car wreck, and I'm a lil sore. I like this girl, she's gorgeous and tough and I miss her a lot." Hayes says. I smile. "Tell me about this girl." I say smiling and patting the bed. He smiles at me. I scoot over and he sits next to me. "Well she's the size of a 10 yr old. She's amazing. She's stubborn, feisty, sassy and she can be a little whiney. But I wouldn't change a thing about her. She's strong and tough and acts like one of the guys, but she's sensitive, loving, and she's been through a lot. No matter how bad she feels, she makes sure everyone else is alright. She cares about people a lot, but she doesn't care what people think about her." Hayes says. "She sounds like a great girl, she must be very special" I say smiling. "She definitely is." Hayes says smiling down at me. "That's cool, maybe I could meet her someday" I say. "Your closer to her than you know" Hayes says. I look at him. "I'm really sorry I don't remember anything. I'm trying really hard" I say. "It's not your fault, everything will be ok." Hayes says. "Can you tell me what we were doing when we got into the wreck?" I ask. "Of course," he says. "So we usually had football, but it got cancelled because of the weather. So after school I took you to your house, we both changed out of our soaking wet clothes. Because I was taking you out to get some food. We got into the car heading to get sushi. Everything was great till we were about 15 minutes from getting back to the house, the rain picked up and I could barely see. You were worrying so you called my mom and told me to focus on the road. Which I did until we started hydroing. You were still on the phone with my mom when I completely lost control of the car and we started flipping and spinning around and then we both got knocked out." He says with tears in his eyes. "Why are you crying, nobody died" I say. "Because it's all my fault, I shouldn't have taken you out, we should've stayed in, then you would at least remember what was happening." Hayes says. "Hey I'm sure I'll remember eventually." I say smiling at him. "Can you tell me somethings about me?" I ask. He smiles. "Your name is Infiniti sapphire Jordan, you get called Iti or fin, You're a 5ft pistol, your 15, you've got the most beautiful eyes. You're gorgeous, talented, stubborn, you play football and your an all star cheerleader. You model and your parents are super rich. Your brother is an actor. You spend most of your time with my family and your friends. You're hilarious, feisty and sassy. But I enjoy every minute of whatever attitude you throw at me." He says smiling sincerely. "Your innocent but not at the same time, you've never kissed anyone. But damn anyone would love to change that." Hayes says. "well that's a little embarrassing." I say smiling sheepishly. "what?" He asks confused. "I'm 15 and I've never kissed anyone." I say. "It's adorable" Hayes says smiling. I smile,"thanks Hayes" I say. The doctor walks in. "Starting to remember anything?" He asks. "Not exactly but Hayes has been telling me things." I say smiling. The doctor smiles. "Well I'd prefer if mr Grier was back into his bed and his room. So if your ok with it, I'm moving you into his room" the doctor says. I nod. "Sir?" I ask. "Yes ms Jordan." He says. "May I change?" I ask looking down at the hospital gown. " of course, I didn't figure you would last very long either." He says gesturing to the fact Hayes has already changed. Hayes gets up. "Molly has some clothes for you. I'll go get her." He says. I nod and him and the doctor go out. Man everything hurts. That must've been some hell of a wreck. A couple seconds later Molly the girl walks back in. "I heard you wanted to get out of this hideous thing." She says smiling. I nod. "So I didn't know if you'd be cold or not so I brought a hoodie of Hayes', some leggings, a T-shirt of Hayes', a sports bra and some spandex. " she says. "Is it normal for me to wear Hayes' clothes?" I ask. "Well that pretty much what you've worn for the last 5 days." She says smiling. I nod. I'm guessing me and Hayes are super close or something. "I'll take the hoodie, sports bra and leggings please." I say. "Of course." She says getting them out of her bag. She hands them to me. I move and try to get out of the bed. Wincing. I stand up. "This may be a little weird. But would you mind helping me? I've got all these wires attached to me and my whole body hurts." I say. "No dear, I've helped you get ready for dances and stuff before, it's ok." She says. "Thanks" I say. I finally get changed into the clothes. "Umm do you by chance have a hair thingy? My hair is a disaster" I say. She hands me 2 elastics. I throw my hair up. "Ok I'll go get the doctor for you, sit back down on the bed" she says, I nod. I do as she says. She walks out and a few seconds later, the doctor walks back in. "You ready to switch rooms?" He asks. I nod. "Wheel chair or?" He asks. "Excuse my language but no way in hell will I be pushed in a wheel chair. I can walk." I say. He chuckles softly. "They said you'd say something like that" he says. I smile. We get the equipment I'll need and he starts leading me to the new room. I get out of the area I was in. And see a whole lot of people in the sitting area. Wow someone has a lot of friends. I think to myself. They all start flipping shit when they see me. "Y'all calm down. Remember she can't remember anything." Some guy says. Immediately they all chill out. I smile and contribute following the doctor he knocks then opens the door. I see Hayes on one bed. There is another bed. There are couples in there. They look like they're his parents. There's a little girl who attacks me in a hug. She's adorable. "Iti!!!" She squeals jumping into my arms.  I look at Hayes and mouth "what's her name?"  He mouths back "sky" I nod. Not wanting to upset the little one. "Hey sky, how are you?" I ask. "I'm good, now that your ok" she says. Which makes my heart break, she obviously was close to me but I don't even remember her.  I set her down. "Ms Infiniti, can you please sit on the bed so I can make sure the machines are hooked up?" The doctor asks. I sit down on the bed. The doctor does what he needs to. "If you need anything just hit the button." The doctor says before walking out. A guy stands up. "Hey sky, let's go see about getting a snack." He says and she jumps up and follows him out. "Fin how you feeling?" The only guy left in the room other than Hayes asks. He has Hayes' eyes so I'm assuming it's his dad. "Umm my body hurts but I'm alive" I say chuckling. He smiles. "That's my star." He says. "I'm really sorry I don't remember y'all." I say looking down. "No worries, I'm Chad, Hayes and Molly's dad, and your football coach." He says. "I'm Nila, the kids stepmom." The blonde says smiling. "And Elizabeth I'm the kids mom" the brunette says. "So your the one I was on the phone with." I say more to myself than anyone. They look confused. "Hayes was telling me stuff, Im sorry I still don't remember" I say. "It's ok, all in due time" Elizabeth says. I sit back and start to get comfortable on the bed. In walks J, Jarrett, Molly and some other guys. "How you doing little one?" One guy asks, he looks a lot older than me. He definitely does sports. "I'm ok, who are you?" I ask. "I'm sorry, I forgot. I'm Alex" he says. "How do we know each other?" I ask. "Football, I'm team captain, plus I'm like your protector." He says chuckling a little. "Oh nice to meet you again." I say. He smiles and pats my leg. I look at the 3 other guys. One walks over to me and winks. "I'm Drew your boyfriend, how ya doing babe?" He asks with a smirk. "Um I may not remember anything, but I sure as hell know I wouldn't date you." I say scoffing. "Damn even w/ amnesia she still rejects yo ass" j says laughing. "Hey Iti, sorry bout my brother. I'm Denver" he says I smile. "I'm Keagan" the last guy says smiling. I smile back. "Can we get y'all anything we are going for a coffee and food run" Elizabeth says. "Um I'm a little hungry." I say. "Yea same mom" Hayes says. "I'll just text you the orders mom" Molly says. Elizabeth nods and the adults leave. "She can't remember anything but she still wears Hayes' hoodie" Denver says chuckling. "That's cause Molly brought it for me." I say. She looks over at Hayes "I didn't think you'd mind" she says. "Yea no worries" he says. We have a pretty big room with a big tv. Hayes grabs a remote and turns the tv on. Our beds are right next to each other. So it's basically one big bed. Hayes finally settles on a tv show. I don't know what it is. But right now I don't know anything.....
